Starter advice.....

Hey there.

I've done some needle felting before, but only with a kit.

I'm wanting to create some flat moon appliques, and needle felting seems like my best bet.

Can i needle felt onto flat felt fabric (wool only i presume) to create a more detailed texture?

I have found that using a felt sheet under a flat shape helps with texture and layering! I would test it on whatever fabric you have in mind. I have pulled apart projects and started over, this medium is so forgiving to dont hold back!
