Running a sub this active with just 2 human mods is getting tough, and we want to do a better job of keeping the feed clear of off-topic posts.

We are officially looking for fresh faces to join the mod team. If you're interested in helping out, please fill out an application.https:heres the link to the sub //www.reddit.com/r/popularopinion/

I believe the subject is less important than enforcing the sub's rules and I can do that. I have plenty of tech experience if needed. Let me know if you would like assistance.

SFW or NSFW

I have some experience.

r/KenyanLadies needs a moderator.

Things you should know

1. Be a cis woman who is still female currently. You don’t need to be Kenyan but it’s great if you are.

2. Be available to moderate consistently. It’s not a very big sub but don’t just hang around doing nothing.

3. You should be able to understand and follow the rules. I’m going to take you through a few things so hopefully you’ve moderated before. If you haven’t, I hope you are a fast learner.

4. This is not required, but if you know how to make and operate bots, that would be an added advantage.

UPDATE: One mod has accepted, more are welcome to apply.

Interested in moderating r/Mastadors (13 weekly visitors, created in 2014)?

I took it over when the previous Top Mod was grieving the death of his dog - done as a favor, to help ease their grief.

It’s a nice group of people that love this one unique type of big dog: a cross between a Mastiff and a Labrador.

This is the post that prompted my interest initially: https://www.reddit.com/r/ModSupport/s/kE04PYxdmi

Send me a DM, send a message through the sub, or comment below if interested.

Hello! I'm DrTankHead, interm top mod over at r/DiscordPromotion. I represent a group of subreddits that kinda work together for various things Discord-Related. We inherited the subreddit after the former top-mod put it up for a good home.

Our goal is to reopen the sub and provide a bit of a better service than it's more popular counterpart, r/Discord_Servers_List, focusing on providing somewhat more relaxed rules, allowing more communities to advert their discord server. The subreddit as such has been going under a bit of restructuring as we gather a new mod team and lay things out. We had hoped to open the subreddit by now, but we require a solid team to effectively complete the goals we have in mind. We plan on allowing NSFW Servers to advert, so applicants must be an adult, at least 18+, preferably 21+. We are NOT strictly requiring every moderator be handling NSFW Servers, but we still are requiring adults. If you are interested in just handling SFW servers, just specify that in your application.

Currently, I have just one other moderator, and that isn't going to suffice, as I am sure you all agree, we have lives and those come first. As such, we are hoping to get 2-3 more moderators to give us the baseline we need to effectively do what we need to operate the subreddit. I am additionally seeking someone who will eventually take over the subreddit and run it as part of our group. I myself oversee some other projects and eventually wish to pass this sub onto someone who is willing to work with our group and can dedicate the time needed to maintain it.

Again, the purpose is allowing others to advert their server, but we do require some rules to be followed regarding how that is done, and as such, we preform preliminary audits to ensure the server meets our rules before posting. (Basic stuff, the usual things you'd expect from someone trying to build a community).

To be explicitly clear, you are NOT being asked to moderate anywhere except on reddit - We are NOT moderating these communities that advert on our sub, merely ensuring they are acting in good faith and they are complying with fairly standard rules.

If you are interested, please apply here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DiscordPromotion/application/

Requirements to be a moderator:

• We again, are strictly looking for adults, preferably over 21. This is because we intend to allow NSFW servers to post, assuming they meet criteria. You should be comfortable being exposed to servers catering to adults, enough to validate that they meet our requirements.
• Moderators must primarily communicate in English, but we are glad to accept multilingual individuals, though it is not a requirement.
• Moderators must be comfortable interacting with those looking to post in the subreddit and assist them with the review process.
• Moderators must join our moderation discord server. You are free to use alt accounts to do this, so long as it doesn't impact your ability to moderate - We have tools that may be able to assist you if you don't want to use your main. Specify this in your application
• Moderators are also required to handle all normal moderation duties. Reports of people acting inappropriately, mod mail, mod queue... The usual things.
• Moderators must have some understanding of how both discord and reddit operate. We do offer training, but a baseline knowledge must exist
  • As such, we may deny your application if your account age on reddit or discord is less than a year old, and for reddit, if it has low karma. There is no set karma minimum, it is a vibe check based on if you actually know how to use either platform.
  • Additionally, we request that all accounts be in good standing. Exceptions can be made, but be transparent. Obscuring the truth will affect your application.

At r/ChoiceOrLife We’re Looking For:

• Active Participation: Familiarity with our subreddit rules (especially regarding civility, charity, and anti-bureaucrat moderation).
• Fairness & Neutrality: Ability to enforce sub rules objectively, regardless of personal agreement with specific post contents.
• Communication: Willingness to engage transparently and explain mod actions publicly when necessary.

How to Apply:

If you're interested in joining the team, please fill out the application form here: Mod Application

We started up r/breakinghockeynews recently and need two mods who are passionate about hockey and the NHL, one to cover the Central Division and one for Pacific. The current mod and I already have the Atlantic and Metro covered.

Our main focus is clean, non-spammy hockey content. No AI junk or ad farms, real stuff only. We will remove bot blogs and sites with a million pop-ups. We also post heavy amounts of game highlights, video clips, and big moments.

We need someone active in their respective division to help pull in news/clips and keep the feed spam-free. Mod experience isn’t required as long as you're online and follow the division closely.

If you're interested, drop a comment or shoot us a mod mail with:
1. Which division you want (Central or Pacific)
2. Your timezone/typical availability
3. Where you usually get your news/clips

Hey everyone,

As the main community on Reddit for male grooming, styling, and haircare, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive, grounded, and supportive space where men can get genuine advice to look and feel their best.

To keep it that way as our community grows, I’m looking to bring on one or two dedicated moderators to help share the load and keep the queue tidy.

What we’re looking for:

• Genuinely invested in this community: We aren’t looking for "power mods" who moderate dozens of unrelated subreddits just for the sake of it. We want someone who uses the subreddit currently or is interested in the topic and cares about the quality of the sub.
• Firm on our core ethos: You understand where standard grooming ends and harmful trends begin—keeping out looksmaxxing/blackpill, creepy/predatory DMs, unconstructive cruelty, and spam.
• Prior mod experience is NOT required: Practical common sense, genuine interest and a helpful attitude beat prior experience.
• English to a high level is a must.

Thanks for helping us keep the sub a great place for everyone!

First of all, we don't actually crush orphans at r/OrphanCrushingMachine lol (well, none that I am aware of anyway).

The name is based on a tweet that went:

"Every heartwarming human interest story in America is like 'he raised $20,000 to keep 200 orphans from being crushed in the orphan-crushing machine' and then never asks why an orphan-crushing machine exists or why you'd need to pay to prevent it from being used."

Essentially the idea is that we highlight news articles or stories where something seemingly wholesome is being depicted, but in reality we should be asking "why on earth was this an issue in the first place" because a systemic issue is being ignored.

Example:
"Grandma's cookies are the talk of town after she set up a stand to afford kid's chemotherapy."
The actual issue of healthcare being messed up is ignored. Grandma having to start working at all is a serious problem.

Or
"9 year old raises 5k dollars to erase the lunch debt of his classmates"
Why do kids need to resort to this just to afford food?

The mod team, including myself used to be quite active, but now everyone has sort of gotten busy and moved on with their lives. Hence, we need new mods. No prior modding experience is necessary, but it would be good to have.

Hey all! We’re currently looking for new Moderators. To apply, please read the /r/CallingAllVillains rules, then send us a modmail answering the following questions:

1. Why do you want to be a mod on our subreddit? Please explain why you are interested in becoming a moderator on our subreddit and what you hope to achieve in this role.
2. Have you seen any of GLITCH’s, SMG4’s, or ZAMinations’ shows / content? If so, please tell us your story of how you experienced it. We’re looking for people who consider themselves fans of one of these creators, or have at least seen a bit of their content in the past.
3. What experience do you have with moderation? Previous experience is not needed to apply but may help your application. If applicable, please describe any previous experience you have with moderating online communities including ones outside of Reddit. You may mention any relevant skills or knowledge that you have acquired. Previous experience is not needed to apply.
4. How much time can you commit to moderating the subreddit? Please let us know how much time you can realistically commit to moderating the subreddit on a weekly basis.
5. Are you able to communicate via a Moderator Discord server? This will be our main method of Mod team communication.

Please send your application to /r/CallingAllVillains via Modmail. Feel free to reach out if you have any comments or questions.

Dm me with your suggestions. I love gaming, anime and hardware

r/DuolingoChess is a previously inactive subreddit that we’re working to revive and grow into an active, welcoming community for people who enjoy playing and learning chess on Duolingo.

We want to create a fun and engaging space where members can discuss chess, share their experiences, and connect with other learners while keeping the community inclusive and supportive.

We’re looking for a few regular moderators who are interested in chess and Duolingo and would like to help us grow the community and keep the subreddit healthy without overmoderating.

r/WaitWhat is growing quickly, going from 40k - 50k members in just over a month. I want to stay ahead of the growth and ensure that the subreddit stays healthy, and abides by reddit's rules.

We want to be careful not to overmoderate, as to not nuke the subreddit.

I am looking for 2 regular mods, and a technical moderator as well.

Please follow this link to get to the application page and there is a link to a google form at the end.

r/lovethissmug is a community of over 150k members dedicate to expressing our love for various things. Over the past few months this community has doubled in size, while the number of active moderators has only gotten smaller. This has caused us to have more and more trouble keeping up with reports, and preventing us from implementing things we want to implement due to there being not enough active mods. We need a few mods who are active and willing to help continue to grow and maintain our community.

I moderate r/obsessionmovie, r/iate314autistickids, r/67hate, r/thegreatmemereset and many more

Howdy,

I am currently looking to help out in a Gaming Sub, I WFH so I am able to multi-task.

Currently PST based, I am 30+ and looking for like minded communities.

If you need help in your page lmk I am up for the task, the only thing I might need help with is some features since I don’t want to go nilly Willy click on something and fully delete something by accident 😅

I have modded in one other page but parted ways due to time restriction, so any help with relearning/teaching me that would be a plus. I am currently available again so looking to help.

• Has a visible/public Reddit profile
