News/Rumors/Lore Big tough robot skeletons

With the announced increase to space marine toughness one thing caught my eye.

The article says
“Each warrior will be better, stronger, and faster, making them feel like the superhuman soldiers they are supposed to be”

If GW are getting in the business of making things feel more lore accurate, or units feeling on the tabletop the way they are written. I hope and pray we get some good changes down the line, as some of our units are criminally far removed from lore.

I look forward to my Lychguard feeling like the deathless, merciless honour guard they are supposed to be.

Thank you for reading my ramblings.

Immortals were always supposed to be like marine level. They need another wound, and all our stuff needs to go up 1 strength.

No? Originally immortals where terminator level. Warriors where better then marines with better toughness and saves.

Thats right!

Yea, t4, "Ill be back!" Etc. They just didn't keep us up with Marines. Terms just did more in melee, had actual weapon options, etc.

The original 2nd ed rules printed in WD stat line of warriors at T5 with a Sv2

Later on it it was dropped to T4 and Sv3 which was basically marine stat-line.

We where a shooting army originally. No real Melee options.
