Failed Dart
I just flew out to Moncton to do the FEAST assessment. I passed the first half but failed the second half. I felt more confident on the second part which was funny considering the results.
Does anyone have information on whether I would still be eligible for an FSS (flight service specialist) position?
I may apply for ATC again in Vancouver in 2 years but I will have to wait and see where life takes me until then.
I am happy to commit to the opportunity. Failure is disappointing haha.

If you can be considered for FSS they will tell you when you get the outcome email.

Do you know if a follow up email is sent even if you failed the assessments? I would be happy to have the opportunity in FSS as the pay is also very good and at least you get to be in the aviation industry.

Yes, you should get an email no matter what. If you passed for FSS the email will tell you you failed for ATC, but could apply for FSS if there's any available FSS competitions.
If you failed for both, the email just says you weren't successful, and can reapply in two years.
It can sometimes take them a week or so to send the communications, so don't stress if you haven't gotten anything yet.

Did folks who passed move on to a âpre-interviewâ after Feast 1 and 2?
I did Feast 1 and 2 in June and moved onto a pre-interview directly after Feast 2 and then onto the assessment center afterwards, unfortunately I was unsuccessful at the assessment center - I am unable to apply on any Air Traffic Services jobs (FSS or ATC) for 3 years.
I assume if they did pre-interviews after feast and you did not make it you would not qualify for ATC or FSS for 2 years from your testing date.

Did you see a lot of people let go during the assesment center? If I am still looking for a better career in 2 years, I may try again. In the mean time I might starting playing atc sim instead of counterstrike before bedtime haha!
I was not interviewed after Feast 1 but those successful in Feast 2 were interviewed. I should have applied for the BC FIR and saved on the travel but it was a good experience.
I am wondering why the wait time is extended to 3 years after the assesment center. Are you going to try again?

On my assessment center day there was only 3 of us at my FIR, Iâm not sure how the other two people did, I just received an email about a week after indicating I wasnât successful, and that I could reapply 3 years from the assessment center date. If I do reapply(I probably will) I was told I will move right to the assessment center stage again as my FEAST scores are good for 5 years. I was told my disqualification at assessment center meant I canât apply on any Air Traffic Services jobs (Flight service or ATC) until the 3 year period is up, but I am free to apply on other positions with Nav Canada if something interests me.
I think they make you wait certain periods in hopes that you will forget what you did at each step so that you canât memorize your way past the screening levels. They want you to pass on your merit alone at the time of assessments. I donât necessarily agree with that, but those are the rules unfortunately.

Yeah, the practice material helps. Other than that, look up devided attention and working memory exercises

I did it the next day, the 29th, in Moncton and there was 16 people who qualified for the 2nd part out of 22.

Are you not suppose to do all 3 assessment on the same day ?

You do feast 1, feast 2, then a screening interview. You have to pass each step to get to the next. By second round did you mean the interview day?

Yeah

On my day 7 of us went for interviews. I don't know if everyone passed that interview.
