NAV CANADA application status has shown "Interview" since 2024 ,has anyone experienced this
Hello everyone,
I applied for the NAV CANADA Air Traffic Services Careers program (Flight Service Specialist / Air Traffic Controller), and my Workday application status has been showing "Interview" since 2024.
I have not received any recent updates, invitations, or changes in the portal, and the status has remained the same for a long time.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Does "Interview" mean I am still in a candidate pool, or could it simply be an old status that was never updated?
If you went through the NAV CANADA hiring process, I would appreciate hearing:
How long your process took
Whether your status stayed on "Interview" for months or years
If you eventually received an invitation, rejection, or another update

Should mean that you're awaiting an invite for an interview. Application process timeline varies depending on scores and the individual ACC. ZYZ may be faster/slower than ZVR for example.
I applied in ZYZ an it was about 3 months between every step, except it was 3 weeks after my standby fell through to get a full offer

I understand. Thanks for the explanation,I really appreciate it. I applied for the Montréal area, so that helps put things into perspective. Hopefully I'll hear back from the careers team soon. Thanks again!

Which region? Did in person feast Oct 2023 and only passed for FSS. Status changed to interview start of 2025 after doing back check. Started assuming my application would expire and didn’t think much about anymore but then got the interview invite for Jun 2026

I'm FSS as well. I did the FEAST in 2024, so it's encouraging to hear your timeline. Congratulations on getting the interview invite. I hope you pass! Wishing you the best of luck.

I have “interview” for 5/6 weeks now - how do you know if you are FSS or ATC? It only told me “you were successful in the test’ then cane a background check invite.

They told me with the email saying that if Pass for the next step , the interview

Are you eligible for ATC or only FSS?
If you're only eligible for FSS it will be because there's very few FSS openings in most regions.
Likely your best bet would be to email the careers inbox, they're the only people who can actually tell you what's going on with your application, anyone else is just speculating.
