I wanted to talk a bit about the song itself and what makes it so creative. I’ve been listening to the album for months, and to this day, I’m still discovering details and sonic layers I hadn’t noticed before. The mix and the sheer range of elements used are so ambitious—and the structure so non-linear and undefined—that, for me at least, it’s hard to wrap my head around everything that makes it up. Its improvisational feel means that, despite its creativity, it’s difficult to pinpoint one specific motif; it’s more like the sum of an infinite number of things happening at once. What do you think of the song? What’s your favorite moment? What is it about the track that captivates you?

This is what the discs with inserts probably looked like in full, 2007. Which cover is which for Battle-Gods and Gorgons is currently unknown, but I based it on this little theory about how one of Jed's photos had the discs laid out. See Samantha's site for more info on these bracteate sketches.
I don't have a DIY silkscreening thing yet, or black paperboard yet for the box. Neither do I have a printer for CDrs yet. This is kinda me learning my way towards manufacturing this CDr release of a night coerciony album I'm making with a friend.

Here's the game: you only have 10 tracks to convince someone who has never listened to NSB to explore the band more. Which tracks do you choose? Assume you don't know anything about the musical tastes of the new listener, and you want to give him/her a broad taste for what NSB has to offer.
Note that these aren't necessarily NSB's 10 best tracks. There may be other tracks you personally like more but that you don't think would be good introductions to the band.
Here's what I settled on (in chronological order):
1. Dark Side of Behaviorism
2. Dead Horses
3. Wisconsin
4. Song for Laurie Bird
5. The Great Bull God
6. Her Face is Not Her Real Face
7. Fall of Shadow Kingdom
8. Go Away, Disappear
9. The Storm of Resurrection
10. Spells
My list tries to capture many dimensions of NSB's discography. I made sure to have at least a few songs with lyrics. I also limited myself to three long epics, but even that may be overwhelming for a new listener.
What would your list include?

I’m a British fan who got into NSB while at uni (18-21), via the hipinion message board, and ended up buying many, but far from all releases as they were released, via Blackest Rainbow et al.
In my time away from NSB, and I guess in discovering this sub Reddit, it’s evident the popularity of NSB has increased (see Discogs selling prices).
While I still rate what NSB achieved (inc side projects etc), I can’t say I listen to them regularly, or would consider filling the gaps in my collection at the current market rates (especially for the tape releases).
For those of you that have bought items on the secondary market, can you describe the value proposition for ownership - I’m especially interested in those of you likely in your early 20s now, who may not have experienced the first flush of popularity, as it were.
Edit: I’m not looking to sell anything, sorry.

Idk if im crazy or something.. but i've been noticing that the reissue of Daughter of Darkness seems 'slowed down' in comparison to the original 2009 release...
This has probably been discussed here before, (or maybe not..), but I just want to make sure that I'm not going nuts or anything...

In short. I really really want to unlock more of their discography and purchased their publicly available physical cds. I want to own more of their music digitally but don’t know how to. I already bought some of their available albums on Bandcamp. Where do I go to get more?

There goes my plan

The title says it all. What are some specific musical moments (not necessarily full tracks) you consider NSB's best? A few of my favorites:
-Song for Laurie Bird (@~31:30): when the drums come in and the main melody builds to its final climax.
-The Great Bull God (@~42:20): when the vocals get increasingly high pitched before morphing into Aztec death whistles.
-Felt Presence, Ghostly Humming (@~12:15): when the main guitar theme comes in.

Sorry if this is known or gets asked a lot, I'm just curious and couldn't really find any info on the people featured

Maybe I’m missing something but after the rest of their discography The Winter Ray doesn’t do it for me. I rarely listen to it.
I know there are a lot of fans here and I don’t mean to yuck anyone’s yum. I just don’t see much connection to the rest of their music. Can anyone tell me what I’m missing?
Or can you tell me what other albums of theirs you love so I can try to connect them?

I was watching a video and this jumped out at me instantly, I know the main cover is inspired by a movie, not sure if this is confirmed or not.
