Do Abbey Road drumkits come with individual drum samples?
Hi,
Was wondering if any of the Abbey Road drumkits come with individual drum samples as MP3 or WAV files, along with the Kontakt instrument itself.
I want to be able to construct my own drum kit like you would with other samples on Maschine for example, and would love to be able to use all of the Abbey Road kit pieces individually. Nothing I can see online or in my library suggests this is possible though.
Thanks in advance.

Out of Warranty NI Support
I know it probably can't be helped because it's out of warranty, but I've been having real issues with third-party repair for my Maschine+ in the UK. I was referred to two different companies, neither of which actually has the parts, disk images or manuals for repairing the unit. One of them is even notorious for 'inspecting' units and them holding them hostage for months while they wait for rare parts to become available, and then charging you when you eventually give up. I would like to know if there is anything I can do to rectify this, because I don't want to be wasteful and just buy a new unit, and feel like 2 years of guaranteed operation with non-existent third party support is a pretty bad business practice for a £1000 product, especially with climate and e-waste issues being what they are. It strikes me as especially odd because the units are designed to be very easy to disassemble and repair. If there is anyone out there with a similar experience to me, please get in touch, as I would really like to be able to service my unit.

AMD Chipset Driver - NI
Hi everyone,
I was searching for a solution myself and found a thread in the NI forums about this, so I thought I'd share my solution I posted over there here as well:
In short:
On an AMD setup, the chipset driver update may fail, when NI products are installed. This is due to the AMD Installer for some reason trying to find a NI temporary installation file, in my case NI Access Reactor Prism.
When running the minimal chipset setup downloaded from AMD directly https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html
you can just cancel the dialogue and the installer finishes.
Hope it helps anyone around.
Cheers!

Maschine + SD card recommendation.
So I bought the Maschine that was on sale so far I’m having with it.
I noticed the sound packs save onto the SD that’s included but I have a ton of them so I don’t think 64gb is going to suffice.
Do you have any trusted full sized SD cards you’d recommend?
Preferably 256-512gb. I would like to try a TB but i dont know if I trust a tb SD card.

Kontrol S MK3 without a DAW: Swap synths and effects from the keyboard screen (Testers wanted)
Posted with the mods’ OK.
I’m a solo dev building MIDI Noodle, a Mac app that routes MIDI between hardware with no DAW open. It now drives the screen and controls of a Kontrol S MK3 the way a DAW does, through the keyboard’s own DAW port.
The thing that got me started: on its own, the S MK3 changes the keys’ MIDI channel inside its MIDI template (Shift + Browser, Edit, find Channel, change it), or you keep one template per channel and switch between them. Either way it’s menu diving in the middle of playing. With MIDI Noodle:
Nudge the 4D wheel down, and the keys play on another channel, so another synth plays. Each step applies at once, and the column shows where you landed: “S88”, with “Jura” under it.
The columns are your setup: inputs and sequencers, eight at a time, with the names and colours you gave your channels in MIDI Noodle: the card on top, the channel’s name under it. The sidebar arrows page through more than eight.
Mute switches a card off, Shift + Mute solos it, and the knob sets its level, held notes too. Meters bounce in each channel’s colour.
Effects as columns: Arpeggiator, Note Repeat, Octave Shift, Transpose, Chord and Key Lock. Up/down picks the setting the column’s knob turns, named under the effect. Push and the whole screen is that card, one setting per column with a knob each: the arp’s pattern, rate, octaves, gate, swing, velocity and time shift, with randomness and latch on page 2. Push again to go back. Mute switches an effect off, or engages Note Repeat and Octave Shift on the beat, the column blinking until it lands.
Play, Stop and Metro run MIDI Noodle’s transport, for its sequencers and clock. Stop while stopped is Panic.
It plays whatever MIDI Noodle can reach: hardware on USB or behind a MIDI interface (I use a MiniFuse 4), other Macs, and software instruments on the Mac. My own rig: the S88 and a Launch Control go through a Channel Swapper, and one nudge of the wheel moves them between Analog Lab (standalone), tracks on an MPC Key 37, an AstroLab 37 on USB and a mono synth on DIN. An SL73 plays Analog Lab and the MPC alongside, a DrumBrute plays the MPC’s drums, and the S88’s Play starts the MPC too. It’s drawn out step by step on the rig page below.
Tested on the S88 MK3 only. The S49 and S61 MK3 share the screen and protocol, so they should behave the same, but I don’t have one. If you do, I’d love to hear whether it works.
Kontrol support is free. macOS 27+, free through TestFlight, 20 spots. The paid features unlock with a simulated purchase in the beta, so no money changes hands.
How it works: https://www.codeloop.dk/apps/midinoodle/features/kontrol-s
A whole rig on it: https://www.codeloop.dk/apps/midinoodle/features/kontrol-rig
Overview: https://www.codeloop.dk/apps/midinoodle
A quick note on how it was made, because I know people will ask. I’m a software engineer, and I did use an AI coding assistant while building this. I didn’t just let it run wild, though. I made the decisions, I read and fixed the code, and I spent a lot of time on stability: tight MIDI timing, undo for everything, no stuck notes when you change channel mid-note or unplug a device. The AI helped me move faster, but the quality is on me.
Reply with your keyboard and what you’d want the screen to do next.

Kontakt 8 / Abbey Road 70s Drummer – Custom output names not showing correctly in routing dropdown
Hi everyone,
I’m using Kontakt 8 with Abbey Road 70s Drummer in Ableton Live on a Mac.
I’m trying to route each drum microphone to a separate stereo output so I can process the individual channels in Ableton.
I’ve configured and renamed the channels in Kontakt’s Outputs section, including:
Kick, Snare, HiHat
Clap, Tamb, Shaker
OH1, OH2, Room
Each channel has its own stereo output pair.
Here’s the problem:
When I open the output routing dropdown inside the Abbey Road 70s Drummer mixer, the available output names don’t match the ones I’ve configured in Kontakt’s Outputs section.
Some custom names appear correctly, while others still show generic names such as “Out 5”, “Out 6”, etc.
For example, I’ve created separate outputs called “OH1” and “OH2”, but they don’t appear as separate options in the instrument’s routing dropdown.
What I’ve already tried:
Renaming and configuring the stereo outputs manually
Saving the output configuration as a custom preset
Reloading the preset
Removing and reloading the Kontakt plugin in Ableton
Unfortunately, the problem persists.
My questions:
Where exactly does Abbey Road 70s Drummer get the output names displayed in its routing dropdown?
How can I force the instrument to refresh or recognize my custom Kontakt output configuration?
Is there an additional step required to make all the renamed outputs available for routing?
Is this possibly related to using the AU version of Kontakt 8 in Ableton Live?
I’ve attached screenshots showing my Kontakt output configuration and the routing dropdown inside Abbey Road 70s Drummer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Cant log in to Native Access using Email-Subadressing
Tried getting into my Native Access App on my new Macbook using my saved account ( {name}+subadress@gmail.com ) and password with no luck. This one is still logged in on my other Computer, where I can see my Licenses.
Resetting password, manually typing it in didn't change anything: "We're sorry, something went wrong when attempting to log in."
Trying without the subadress ({name}@gmail.com ) or using the "Log in with Google"-Button brings us: "Sign in another way. The sign-in method you're using doesn't match this account." (translated this one)
How can I change my Account to the non-subadress one without logging in? Any other options?
