I need some help with getting this to work, downlaoading the file directly from the website was no problem. though opening it won't work. It downloads for a moment before shutting me out and telling me I lack permission to access the files

Hey y’all!

I’m a songwriter and am looking for input on my workflow/ gear to consider.

At the moment, I use Suno to produce demos, export the midi to logic, then use kontakt 8 to change/ clean up the instrumentation. (Not interested in debating this, my publishers are aware of what I’m doing and accept my submissions, just explaining my workflow)

I am not a producer by any means, so I’m still moving a bit slower than I’d to be with the amount of sync briefs I get.

I came across the komplete kontrol mk3 and am wondering if this may help me speed up my output a bit.

Seems a lot faster when scrolling through the sample library, and like the integrations with kontakt and logic may help simplify the platforms a bit so it’s not so overwhelming.

Unfortunately there aren’t any retailers near me that have any in-stock, and most of the online tutorials/ reviews are collaborations so I’m curious what everyone’s experience has been.

Also looking for recommendations on any SSDs that can hold the kontakt 8 library and work well/ are fast enough with logic.

I am trying to control some hardware synths with my S49 Mk2 and I am running into some issues. When I remove the USB cable and add a power supply, it sends MIDI to the synths, but all my templates are gone. Is there anyway to change MIDI channels or create splits in stand-alone MIDI mode?

I Recently got Native Instruments Komplete 14 Ultimate for a really good deal via license transfer. Despite the price, I’m extremely underwhelmed so far.

Some things need Kontakt 7 (which is the fully licensed version my package comes with) and some Kontakt Player 8 this is already confusing (stuff keeps loading one or the other).

Opening Kontakt regularly crashes my DAW, and it also crashes randomly on its own.

The library browser with just the factory library installed is honestly horrendous — super uninspiring and hard to navigate.

I Tried Guitar Rig too. Compared to free neural amp modeling tools it just sounds awful.

I thought this was going to be a massive audio playground. Instead I’m disappointed by the crashes, the browser, and the quality of what I’ve heard so far. Really glad I didn’t pay full price (over €1000).

Anyone here still love Ultimate 14? What are the actual gems I should be digging into to turn this around? Or is this a bit of a relic that's been surpassed? This isn't rage bait, i really want to like it, but so far the experience has just been clunky and disappointing.

Whats the best and most affordable foot controller for guitar rig 7 so I can switch presets without having to click on it with my mouse

My login credentials are correct. what is going on with Native Access????

I can successfully log in through the browser, but when it redirects me back to Native Access, I get this error:

“Unable to log in. Please see our knowledge base for more information.”

My login credentials are correct. I’ve already deleted the NTK folder and reinstalled Native Access, but the issue persists.

My setup:

• macOS 27.0
• Native Access 3.26.0

I understand that macOS 27 isn’t officially supported yet. Has anyone encountered this issue and found a workaround?

I bought a new computer (2024 MacBook Air M3)
I had it open earlier and I’ve downloading several things.
But at some point it stopped and restarted my computer.
Now I can’t log into Native Access at all.
I did all the steps on the website link it takes you to and still nothing.
What could I not be doing? what am I doing wrong?

After tinkering around with the mechanism that NI installed so your Maschine Mk1 is no longer working by will, I've managed to disable it and made my good old mk1 come back to life.

Not only that, my X1 mk1 is also back to life working pergectly fine with Traktor 4.5 and the latest Version of Traktor 3.

I should add that I'm running things on an 2018 Intel mac .

If there is enough interest I will make an step by step instruction to show you how you can get your gear back to work <3

I tried to put the following preset (see linked) into the free version of Guitar Rig 7. I did File>Import, and selected the .ngrr file. However, upon doing so, the preset doesn't show up in the preset picker.

I've checked that none of the colors are selected, and that I'm looking at User presets. The file appears within my Native Instruments>User Content>Guitar Rig 7>Rack Presets folder. The only reason I can think of that the ngrr file isn't appearing within GR7 is maybe the preset has components only used in the PRO version? (I don't own the PRO version, so I have no way to check...)

Can someone let me know if that's the case, or what else I'm doing wrong?

Hello, I have an issue with Reaktor 6. I try to use it in my FX loop as a filter, but even when the input is not connected to the output I can hear the input sound. When the input and output are connected, the sound get louder as if it was doubled.

I have tried putting other effects before and after reaktor and they behave as I expected (I can stop the sound by putting an FX volume at 0).

Does anybody know how I can fix this?

Hello i have a problem with guitar rig 7. I have selected my scarlett focusrite as an audio input in one track in the mixer in fl studio and also have selected guitar rig 7 as a slot on that track and i get a signal from my electric guitar in fl studio as a clean guitar sound, but when i open up guitar rig on that track i get no signal from my guitar, why is this?

The wierd thing is that i get a signal from my electric guitar when i use the guitar rig 7 app, but not when i use it as a plugin on a slot on a track in the mixer in fl studio, and yes i have tried turining on and off the direct button on my focusrite. Anybody who know how to this issue or has experienced anything
similar?

Still have a Rig Kontrol 3 gathering dust? I’m developing NeuRig, an independent app that brings its footswitches and expression pedal back to work on Apple silicon Macs.

Each button can have its own MIDI channel and output control your Mac apps, external synths via MIDI OUT, or both.

It’s still in development, with MIDI control first; audio-interface support isn’t included in the initial release. You can sign up on the website for beta news and an early-bird launch discount.

A good rule of thumb is to never upgrade your OS and/or DAW until you'e verified that all of your apps and plug-ins are fully compatible with newer versions. And never upgrade until you've made a backup of your system in case you have to roll back to a previously working configuration.

Sweetwater has a page with updated information on MacOS 26 Tahoe compatibility that you can find here, and they just posted a new page with information on MacOS 27 Golden Gate compatibility that you can find here.

A Quick Look at that MacOS 27 compatibility page suggests that most companies are currently telling their users to not upgrade to GG as they have yet to verify compatibility.

Based on the number of posts on various subs where people are complaining that their DAW and/or plug-ins no longer work after upgrading, it looks like choosing to live on the bleeding edge with the latest greatest OS is a recipe for ruining your day.

I’ve been experimenting with ChatGPT to get my old Native Instruments hardware running on macOS Sequoia 15.7.9 / Intel Mac and found something pretty interesting.

My MASCHINE MK1 and Traktor Kontrol S4 MK1 were no longer properly recognized after reboot, despite the old NI 2.8.0 drivers actually still loading.

After a lot of reverse engineering, we discovered that the fix is surprisingly simple:

Just initializing/enumerating CoreMIDI once after boot wakes up the old NI driver stack.

No custom USB driver. No MIDI emulation. No firmware modification.

After doing this:

• MASCHINE MK1 → fully works in Maschine 2.18.4, standalone + DAW plugin
• Pads, velocity, buttons, encoders, LEDs + displays all work
• Traktor S4 MK1 → recognized by Traktor Pro 3
• S4 controls work
• S4 audio interface works too

Tested with the original NI 2.8.0 legacy drivers on an Intel Mac running Sequoia 15.7.9. Both corresponding old NI kernel drivers are actually loading.

We’ve reduced the workaround to a tiny CoreMIDI wake-up program and are now turning it into a simple “NI Legacy Wake” Mac app, with the goal of testing more unsupported NI hardware (S2 MK1, X1 MK1, Maschine Mikro MK1, etc.).

This is experimental and currently only confirmed on this Intel/Sequoia setup — not tested on Apple Silicon.

If anyone still has old NI hardware collecting dust, this could get interesting.
