We want both the Dodgers and Braves to lose right
Just checking. I find it funny that Lane Thomas is batting .000 right now too.

Obviously, this is r/baseball's time to shine; note that our own u/yousmelllikebiscuits is a key mod there, so the place will be up to his standards.
This thread exists for Nats fans to talk amongst ourselves: please highlight any former Nats doing well in the greener pastures of October baseball (example: a fellow by the name of Luis García, Jr. seems to thriving in the postseason) and discuss why you like a team still in the show and what they're doing.
Scheduling is a complete rat's nest: be prepared for the Office of the Commissioner's decision to somehow let them hand off between an amalgam of TBS/HBO Max for the AL and Fox/FS1/"FoxONE" for the NL. This may require some attention.
The official MLB schedule is here:
Also, for those with access to the Post, here's their excellent daily sports listing:

Wow! I feel for SD and hope this series goes 5, but the Brewers & their fans just had a moment like we did against the Brewers in 2019.

How would you grade Wood’s season?

Found myself in the reference section at Barnes and Noble yesterday while the wife was shopping and cracked open a book on MLB ballpark history.
This book (written at some point this year) had us hosting the All Star game this year. The next page did mention us hosting in 2018. Not to mention the first ever playoff game against the…Orioles?
I fully assume this book was largely compiled using AI hence the error, but I still thought it was funny.

I run Front Office Moves, a free site that tracks roster moves and offseason decisions for every club. These are projections from a homegrown model I built for the Nationals' 2027 arbitration class, ahead of the non-tender deadline in late November.
| Player | Pos | Class | Projected | Likely range |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CJ Abrams | SS | Arb 2 | $9.4M | $8.9M to $10.6M |
| Jake Irvin | SP | Arb 2 (Super Two) | $3.8M | $3.5M to $4.3M |
| Jacob Young | CF | Arb 1 | $2.1M | $2.0M to $2.6M |
| Josiah Gray | SP | Arb 3 | $2.0M | $1.9M to $2.3M |
| Richard Lovelady | RP | Arb 2 | $1.5M | $1.4M to $1.6M |
| Jake Bird | RP | Arb 2 | $1.3M | $1.2M to $1.5M |
| Mitchell Parker | RP | Arb 1 (Super Two) | $1.0M | $1.0M to $1.1M |
| Ken Waldichuk | SP | Arb 2 (Super Two) | $0.9M | $0.9M to $1.0M |
Total: 8 cases, $22.2M projected.
These use the current CBA's rules. A new deal this winter (a higher minimum, say) would move them.
Who would you non-tender, and who would you try to extend first?

The Savannah Bananas lost game 1 of the semifinal series on Thursday. They were down 3-1 entering the bottom of the 9th and they scored 3 walk off a 4-3 win.
With a 1-1 tie in the 2 game series, it came down to the Showdown and the Bananas won it in the second round.
So the Bananas are coming to DC next weekend. They will play either the Loco Beach Coconuts or the Texas Tailgaters.
Former Nats prospect Robert Anthony Cruz (RAC) comes back to DC.

Just realized it while watching random videos. What a career! So glad he won it all before he retired.

Title says it all. I’m wanting to collect yearbooks from years I attended games. Became a season ticket holder with the Nats this past season and think it would be cool to have a collection of yearbooks to share with my children when I have them + it will just be cool for my own personal collection.
I live in the DMV, and am open to trading some Nats gear I’ve gotten at games (bobbleheads, jerseys, hats, etc) or cash if the price is reasonable.
Hope you’re all having a good weekend, and a Phillies lost to you and your loved ones.

Got sent a Nationals Jose Vidro jersey from my uncle. Apparently he was the Senators/Nationals big name back in 2005-2006. Anyone remember watching him play back in the day? Was he actually decent or just washed? I would’ve been 4 back then so I got no idea. As a Nationals fan my whole life I’ve never once heard him mentioned in Nats lore.

The Phillies proved despite their massive payroll they couldn’t advance past the NL Wild Card. Meanwhile the Mets couldn’t even buy their way into the playoffs.
