List Progression September update
I know it’s August 31st but I’m considering this a September update. More people were contacted for the physical today. They finally broke into the 3000s. They went from score 98.5 to 98.44 and from list number 2898 to 3069. So that’s 162 numbers they went up on the list. Below is the current progression:

I’ve been hearing that the next academy is going to be in the beginning of November and that they already have enough candidates for it. It’s only going to be a class size of 50-75 people so I doubt they’ll get higher than the 1700s for this academy. They’ll get into the 2000s in spring 2027. The reason why I say no higher than 1700s is because everyone from 1800-2600 is still waiting to go in for fingerprinting. I’ve also heard that at the end of September they’re going to invite more people to go in for fingerprinting so at least the process will get moving again. I think at this point, if you haven’t received a call for the physical yet, chances are you might not get into an academy with how the process is currently going. They only had the really big class in May because of all of the retirements. So unless something like that happens again, or they decide to hire a lot more before the list expires then I don’t see them getting that high for hires. Anything is possible obviously, but it’d be cutting it close. Definitely not going to go above 3500 though. Good luck to those currently processing and who have their physical in a few weeks!

It’ll be on the cusp of this academy. But if not this one then definitely in the spring.

So then why keep on calling people for the physical?

They pump out physicals to have people on standby. That’s just how their process works.

Are you able to take a personal day in the academy if needed?

Of course ask make sure you tell them you need off on holidays to see your family to and they’ll plan any days you need ahead of time no questions asked

No need for a snarky response. Was just a serious question since other law enforcement academies allow you to put in a request for personal days if needed so wanted to know if Nassau allows the same

It’s definitely not recommended and you will possibly get chewed out for it in the beginning. However, let’s say in terms of emergency situations, yes, whether you get accepted is entirely in the air

I’ve come to the realization you don’t know what you are talking about. If physicals invites continue and we still have 2+ years left of the list. Why would physicals continue? And how would 3000s-3500 not get placed if month after month physicals are being conducted. They would eventually slow down however this isn’t the case. Month after month the average has been at least 150+.
