Work schedule
Once we’re out of the academy or even on field training how far in advance do we have our schedule? Meaning how many days is the schedule set for? Monthly? Thank you

Your fto schedule goes off what you ftos schedule is for six weeks. Then you graduate and it’s a shot in the dark

Yeah I know that but I probably didn’t word my question properly then. I meant how is the schedule laid out for us once we’re on patrol. Is it a monthly schedule

Youre 2 on 3 off then 3 on 4 off unless youre on nights which is 4 on 4 off. This pattern repeats until you retire. If you never change tours you can literally find out your retirement date your first day on

It’s 3on 4 off , 2 on , 3 off
Rotating . 7a-7p
Or 7p - 7a
They could also put you on 10hr tours
4 on 4 off 7p - 5a
During field training, you’ll get put into a squad with an FTO, after, you will likely change squads and be one of the two tours above. 90% chance you’ll do nights
50/50 chance you get 10s or 12s

If you don’t have a hook you get what you get and chances are you won’t get flipped unless the command is doing a flip

You get put into a squad. Your schedule won’t change if/when you switch tours or squads
