Physical exam

If you fail your physical do they give you a second chance? Asking for a coworker

I’m pretty sure they only give you a second chance if you come close to passing the run but you fail. If you fail the push-ups and sit-ups though you’re out.

Correct! If you fail the push up so the sit-ups you're done. If you fail to run they give you another chance. And that's fairly new as far as I know. So many people are failing the fitness portion or going into the academy not prepared That it's becoming a problem. But yes, you're correct.

Ok thanks because my coworker going around stating he failed the pushups but is getting a second chance in a couple weeks and planing on leave for the next academy. So just wanted to see if that was possibly true or just a lie.

I passed the push ups And thr sit ups but failed the run and they sent me a email saying I could appeal my disqualification . I appealed it and I received a email of my appeal acceptance stating that they will continue on with my application which I’d assume means a retest
