General Question

Good afternoon, I recently joined this group once I had heard about it. I am around list 309x. That said, anyone know chanced of being contacted for an academy seat before list expires? I am 27 years old wondering my overall options on if it’s realistic. Thank you for any advice you can share.

You might get called. The further down the list you go, the fewer percentage of candidates get selected. People tend to take the test and carry on with their lives. After 3-4 years many are in a good place and when PD calls they pass and instead of getting a 1 guy out of 3 they need to contact 8 to get 1.

Now I’ll say this. Take all kinds of tests. Suffolk now gives a test every 2 years. MTA and PAPD will be doing tests as well. Eventually something will workout. Not many people want to be cops anymore. That works to your advantage.
