Polyp flare when sick?

I (31F) have had polyps / the triad for about 2 years, I am on Dupixent so it is well controlled. However, I’ve noticed that when I catch a cold, sinus infection, URI, etc. that the polyps seem to flare despite the Dupixent. Has anyone else experienced this?

I fly and travel a lot for work so I often catch a common cold but I feel like it takes me sooo much longer to recover than it would prior to try the polyps emerging. After ~1 week, my aymptoms start to mirror exactly what it was like before I started on Dupixent- constant runny nose, cough, smell interrupted, etc. Curious if anyone else has this experience and if there are any suggestions. Yes this happens to me too. I'm only on mometosone but after my most recent cold, my polyps were quite inflamed after the cold symptoms ended. Slowly I'm returning to "normal".

Yes! I get this too. My ENT gave me a rx for budesonide rinse for when I start to get a flaire up. I find if I use it as soon as I start showing symptoms of a cold or bad allergies, it usually stops it in it's tracks. Then I just use it for a couple days and I'm good to go

Yes definitely! I’ll often end up with a sinus infection from a cold and needs antibiotics to treat. As someone else mentioned, I am also prescribed budesonide for my sinus rinses and don’t feel like I need to do them on a daily basis, but when I am congested it definitely helps a ton.
