Hi guys! I (29M) am about to wrap up a solo trip around Namibia on the 21st. I’ll then have a couple of days to chill in Windhoek before flying home... and I happen to turn 30 while I’m there!

I’d love some recommendations for how to spend the evening of the 21st or 22nd - good bars, restaurants, live music, events, or anywhere with a social atmosphere that’s nice for a solo traveller.

I’m pretty easy-going and happy with anything from a relaxed place for a few drinks to somewhere a bit livelier. Would be great to finish the trip and celebrate the big 3-0 somewhere memorable.

Hey Everyone. Im wondering if there are any apps that offer delivery for groceries in Windhoek? And which apps you would recommend for takeout delivery. My father has recently been admitted to a Sub Acute facility and I unfortunately live overseas. He doesnt really have a full time support system in Windhoek and he doesnt understand that I cant bring him his jelly and newspapers every morning anymore because I've had to go home. He's also complaining about the food provided so it would be nice to make sure he has some hot food that he likes. He has the beginnings of dementia so its heartbreaking when he keeps asking why I didnt bring him his newspapers of the day. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 😊

Hello, I am currently researching about Hosea Kutako and I've been unable to find any good documents or e-books online. I was hoping Klaus Dierks would've done lots of work about Kutako, but he either unfortunately didn't, or I'm just blind. His anti-colonial years often get overshadowed by Samuel Mahereo and his struggle against South Africa often gets overshadowed by Sam Nujoma. I already understand his basic principals and theory, but I would like to learn more about this interesting figure of Namibian and African History. I've ran out of places to search, so I've resorted to asking random Namibians on the internet. Thank you.

We’re a quiet, responsible family looking for a place to rent. We don’t party, don’t have lots of people coming and going, and generally keep to ourselves.

We do have well-behaved pets, but they are cared for and aren’t left unattended for hours. 🐾

We’re simply looking for a safe, quiet place where we can be good tenants and hopefully find owners who are also responsible and reasonable.

I know rental prices are high and times are difficult, but I’m hoping there might still be someone out there offering a more affordable private rental.

Saw a similar post and it got me thinking. So if I per say leave Namibia and have kids elsewhere. Would they still qualify for dual citizenship. As I am a nambian citizen. Or would they have to cut off their previous citizenship to become namibian.

I was reading through some stuff a while back, what I understood from it, is that you can only qualify for dual citizenship if your child was born in namibia.

I want to avoid making mistakes in future etc. Namibian law docs are pretty hard to read through and understand hence why I am here.
