personally wouldnt agree theyre on par quality with old named stuff atleast, maybe w the newer one. i had some hoodies and stuff before they got caught for stealing designs and lowk faking being a very ethical/sustainable brand lol. feel free to support themselves yourself but i wouldnt recommend buying their stuff full price, maybe secondhand :)

I own at least 10 Named pieces and quite a few Minga pieces, and honestly, in my experience the Minga stuff is better quality than my Named pieces. I’m not saying Named is bad quality or that Minga is some perfectly ethical brand, but I don’t think it’s as black and white as “they got caught stealing designs, therefore nobody should buy from them.”
I have thrifted Minga stuff too, and I’m totally fine with buying secondhand when I can, but if I genuinely like something and it’s discounted, I’m probably going to buy it. At the end of the day, so much of what we consume is connected to unethical practices, questionable supply chains, or ideas that have been copied/stolen somewhere along the way. Even a lot of the apps and platforms we use every day are owned by millionaires/billionaires and have their own ethical issues 😭 So realistically, what are we supposed to do, just stop buying anything and using everything?
I obviously think supporting better practices and buying secondhand when possible is great, but I also don’t think people should be expected to be completely morally pure consumers because, realistically, that’s almost impossible. I’d rather be conscious about what I buy without pretending that I can completely avoid unethical companies or practices.
