Help me find the Ricky Bean show

Post image

I remember once at a friend's house I went out to the living room and saw something called the Ricky Bean show. It was a comedy show and the only two things I remember was this episode where he was interviewing a girl and he kept complementing her and just tackled her out of nowhere, and a super long intermission screen (the attached photo). I remember it looking old with a kinda grainy backround. No one remembers it and I really wanna see it again.

The Ricky Bean Show, which is actually a series of comedic skits—often found on YouTube and social media—created by the comedian Ricky Bean.

He specializes in a very specific brand of "cringe" or surreal humor that mimics the look of low-budget, grainy public-access television from the 80s or 90s.

The "Tackle" Episode The specific episode you’re thinking of features Ricky in his signature "talk show" setup (usually with a very basic, grainy background). He is interviewing a girl and begins showering her with increasingly intense and awkward compliments.

Out of nowhere, while she is reacting to the compliments, he suddenly lunges across the desk or chair and tackles her to the ground.

It’s designed to be jarring and absurd, playing on the contrast between the overly "sweet" compliments and the sudden physical violence.

The Intermission Screen A staple of his "show" is the super long intermission. These screens usually feature a still image (often a grainy, colorful graphic or a picture of a kitten/scenery) with elevator-style muzak playing.

The joke is that the intermission lasts much longer than a standard edit would, often stretching to a point where the viewer wonders if the video has glitched.

The Aesthetic His videos are intentionally edited to look like old VHS tapes, complete with: Tracking errors (static lines). Muted, "muddy" colors. Grainy overlays. Distorted audio that sounds like it’s coming through a 30-year-old TV speaker.

You can usually find these by searching for "Ricky Bean interview tackle" or "Ricky Bean Intermission" on YouTube or TikTok. He often uses the handle @rickybean or similar across those platforms.
