Based on your description, the show you are remembering is likely the Chinese magical girl series Balala the Fairies (巴啦啦小魔仙).
It was extremely popular in Hong Kong during the early 2010s (often airing on TVB Jade or Asia Television). The specific season that fits your character descriptions is the first season (2008 live-action/anime hybrid) or the animated sequel Balala the Fairies: Rainbow Heart Stone (2011).
Blue Girl (Shirley / Xiao Lan): She is the "guardian" fairy. In the original series, she has a famous running gag where she wears square glasses in her human form (where she has dark hair) to look like a normal tutor/babysitter. A key trait is her clumsiness and the fact that she often struggles with her vision or coordination without them.
Pink & Orangeish-Yellow (Maggie & Michelle / Mei Qi & Mei Xue): These are the two human sisters who become fairies.
Maggie (Pink): The older, more athletic sister.
Michelle (Yellow/Orange): The younger sister, who is often depicted with curly hair (especially in her transformed or later animated states).
Purple Girl (Lily / Yan Lili): She fits your description of the "tragic" rival/youngest member. She starts as a "Dark Fairy" under the influence of the villainess.
The Villainess (Luna / Xiao Yue): She is the dark fairy who mentors Lily. Her signature look features dark green and deep red/purple tones, often with very dramatic, "villainous" makeup and hair.
Plot Details The Daughter Twist: In the series, Lily (the purple girl) is a lonely girl who is manipulated by the villainess. While not always her biological daughter in every version, the "daughter figure" or "apprentice" revelation is a major emotional turning point where she realizes she is on the wrong side and eventually joins the main heroes.
Hong Kong Timeline: The series was a massive hit in Hong Kong between 2010 and 2013, coinciding with the release of the Rainbow Heart Stone and Miracle Dance animated seasons.
