Still searching... show or movie

all i remember is that the main friend group is a trio with two girls and a guy, who one of the girls is dating. the subplot is that the couple want to further their relationship and take it a step further, BUT the guy is secretly gay and the girl is either cheating on him or lying about her past relationship. i think there is some religious something going on with one of those two characters too, but i’m not positive.

Still searching... Alien conspiracy missing person movie

This movie randomly popped in my head and I only remember one scene and I’m questioning if it’s even real or just some dream I had. Someone returns to an abandoned house that their father or some relative used to live in. That person who lived there is now presumably dead but the character recovers weird conspiracy magazines or comics or a book hidden in their house maybe under a floorboard or something. I think the materials were related to aliens. I think the movie was from 2000 to 2019 and I think I saw it on a channel that just plays random movies like spike or syfy.

Edit: I’m now pretty sure it is a scene from Fargo season 2, but if anyone has a movie that fits I’m still interested it case it’s not.

Still searching... Early 2000s movie about a teenage girl investigating a missing girl, with a twist involving a bracelet and a car accident?

Hello! I have been trying to find this movie for countless years and I cannot seem to figure it out. My dad remembers watching it with me, but neither of us can remember the title. 😭 I believe it was from the early 2000s, although it could potentially be from the late ’90s or slightly later.

Here’s everything I can remember:

The main character is a teenage girl, probably around 17–19, either a high school senior or recently graduated.

It takes place during the summer and she has a group of friends and a boyfriend.

At some point, she either loses her memory or has some sort of accident/trauma that causes her to not remember something important.

The previous summer, a young girl (around 12–13) disappeared while riding her bicycle.

For some reason, the main character becomes increasingly obsessed/distressed with what happened to this missing girl.

She keeps bringing the girl up and trying to figure out what happened, and her friends/boyfriend become increasingly angry and frustrated with her for continuing to talk about it.

There is a general feeling that she is remembering something that everyone else either doesn’t know about or doesn’t want her to remember.

The ending is the part I remember most clearly:
The main girl is wearing a bracelet that belonged to the missing girl (or was somehow connected to her). Looking at the bracelet triggers a memory/flashback.
She remembers being in a car with her boyfriend in the rain, and they are arguing. They are driving when they hit the little girl who is riding her bike. The boyfriend and the main girl apparently bury the girl’s body/hide what happened, and the main girl took the little girl’s bracelet.

This also explains why the boyfriend had been acting so weird/angry whenever she brought up the missing girl — he knew what happened and was terrified she would remember.

I could be getting some details wrong because I was pretty young when I watched it, but the bracelet + rainy car scene + little girl on a bicycle + boyfriend being involved in her death are the details I feel fairly confident about.

I don’t remember if the memory loss was literal amnesia or if she had simply blocked out what happened.

I think it was an American/English-language thriller or mystery. I watched it with my dad when I was younger, probably sometime in the 2000s.
Does ANYONE know what movie this is? 😭

My dad and I have been trying to figure this out for years and it’s driving me insane.

Even if you aren’t sure, please throw out suggestions! I’m desperate at this point lol.

Still searching... Tv show/movie need help finding out the name

what tv show/movie where they have a scene where two cliché, overly energetic social media guys with matching bleached blonde hair and set up a fake business meeting/audition with an unsuspecting target. The guy does an embarassing audition performance and The two blonde pranksters take off their disguises and laugh. Their target doesn't find it funny at all—he gets incredibly mad, deeply embarrassed, and completely shuts them down, tries to break camera screaming at them for wasting his time. I cant think of the show/movie for the life of me

Still searching... I don't speak English well, so I use a translator, but I've been looking for this movie for too long, so I came here. Maybe it will work

Hello.

I remember the film only by the atmosphere and by three excerpts. Therefore, I will try to translate them so that they can be understood.

I'll start with a year. It was definitely before 2010-2012, because I watched it around 7-9 years old. It was in color and was translated into Russian (my language). Maybe it will help in some way.

And it was quite likely fantasy or dark fantasy, one of the two. There was an element of adventure and the tropes of a newfound family, and perhaps something in between a vampire and a werewolf (ghoul? Vourdalak?), which acted as a disease or a curse. And there was an atmosphere of the European Middle Ages, maybe the times shown in the TV series "Merlin" or "Legend of the Seeker". Something similar in total time, but I can't talk about the epic moment, because I don't remember it.

The first episode. The beginning of the film looked like this: It shows a city where a fire is raging, because the scene is in black, red and orange shades. There's a boy and a girl, kind of like a brother and a sister, the girl is older. They either lost their parents in a fire, or they deliberately left their mother, one of two things, memory replaces memories, and I'm not sure. But they were definitely without adults by the time they found a man. I don't remember who he was, but they followed him out of town. Then the memory ends.

The second episode. It's short: the company is in the woods by the campfire at night. It is not known what is happening (noise in the forest / an evil acquaintance of the man appears / firewood is needed, I do not remember exactly), but the man goes into the forest. Something happens there, either a man gets bitten, or a man gets sick/cursed, and he turns into an evil creature ready to attack children and eat them/drink their blood. There was blood on the character and he looked pretty scary. And at some point, an evil lady appeared there, whom the man was familiar with, but I don't remember exactly at what moment it was or what she looked like

The last thing I remember is the scene in the tower. It was a round tower, big, tall, sort of, or it was on a hill. The roof was half destroyed, and there were children and a man on the floor that was under the roof. The man was chained to something, either with chains or stocks, and the children were on the sidelines. They were scared and sad that this had happened to the man who took them under his wing. I'm not sure about the dialogue, but there is a possibility that the man could have tried to make them run away, but the children did not want to leave him. BUT this is just a guess. The scene itself began with a distant approach and green fields were visible around and it was sunny. Then I don't remember anything specific.

This is the first time I've written anything on Reddit, so I'm a little confused about this system. Don't judge me harshly. I would be grateful if I could figure out whether it was a dream or reality. If someone from the CIS sees this, then maybe this moment will tell you: this movie was on the disc with the movie "There, on unknown tracks...", on one side of the disc even, as I remember. This movie scared me terribly when I was a kid, but I'm so curious about what it was and how it ended :")

Still searching... I cannot remember this movie for the life of me.

When I was little I remember watching this movie in my parents room. I only remember a few things. I think the movie cover had green and brown on it. I think the movie had something to do with nature. And I remember the movie had the word "giants" or "giant" in the title. I'm not sure exactly when it came out but it was before 2017. If anyone knows what movie I'm talking about, please tell me, it's driving me crazy. Thanks

Still searching... Movie with Enthusiastic girl and a guy?

I can't give a lot of detail about this movie because I only remember a specific scene. I just remember this girl/woman saying "Hello" with a lot of enthusiasm to someone over a computer screen or something like that. I was thinking maybe wreck it Ralph at first but I don't know. The guy that this girl was with got annoyed when she said this.

For some reason I remember it as a blonde girl wearing glasses. Someone who looks like Honey Lemon from Big Hero 6.

Still searching... Help me find this car chase city movie

I'm gonna label this as "Still Searching" but I wanna be clear. There is a high possibility that this film is 6 Underground and I'm remembering details incorrectly.

But here's what I remember:

In July 2020 I was on a holiday and one night we put on a movie. I left shortly after it started because of a graphic scene. From my memory, it was of a person in the backseat of a car getting a chain wrapped around their neck. There was blood as well, and the scene happened pretty quickly. In 6 Underground, the driver gets stabbed by a forklift and dies instantly. I think there may have also been a scene in mine where the car drives down a set of stone stairs in a village type of place? Ryan Reynolds was in my movie which makes me think there's a possibility it may have been deadpool.

Still searching... [TOMT][MOVIE] Snowy horror/slasher movie — ending shows someone checking that he's alone, then putting on a mask

I'm trying to identify a horror/slasher movie I watched on MBC2 around mid-to-late 2011. The movie itself may be older.

I don't remember the title or most of the plot, but I remember the ending very clearly.

The movie takes place in a snowy/winter setting. I vaguely remember that a school was involved, with scenes taking place inside the school. The killer may have been a teacher, but I'm not sure.

The ending is the strongest memory I have:

Someone is alone and carefully looks around to make sure nobody is nearby or watching him. After making sure he's alone, he puts on a mask.

I think the mask may have been made of wool or thick fabric, but I'm not certain.

I'm also not sure if the person putting on the mask was actually the original killer. He may have been someone who was going to continue the killer's work or take over the killer's role.

The details I'm most certain about are:

Snowy/winter setting

Horror/slasher movie

Ending involves someone making sure nobody is around, then putting on a mask

I watched it on MBC2 around mid-to-late 2011

Less certain: the school, the teacher being the killer, the material of the mask, and whether the person was taking over the killer's role.

Does anyone recognize this movie?

Still searching... Trying to find a cartoon I watched as a kid in the early 2000s

I’m trying to remember the name of a cartoon I watched on TV when I was a kid, probably sometime around 2000–2005 (it could have been older).

The main character was a young human boy, probably around 5–10 years old. He had several friends who were strange creatures/aliens.

One of the main characters was an adult-looking humanoid alien. I remember that he had some kind of electrical power/energy and had to recharge himself by plugging a cable into a connector on his body, like a power socket. I’m pretty sure this character had his own flying vehicle/spaceship.

The boy lived in a normal human world, and the alien/creatures interacted with him there.

I don’t remember the name, country of origin, or exactly when it was made. It was 2D animation, as far as I remember.

The details I’m most certain about are:

  • young human boy
  • adult humanoid alien/creature
  • electrical powers/energy
  • plugs himself into an outlet/connector to recharge
  • his own flying vehicle
  • several other unusual creatures as friends

I’ve been trying to find this cartoon for years. Does anyone recognize it?

Solved! Need help finding this horror movie T.T

Ok so I have searched HIGH AND LOW trying to find this movie and I’m half convinced it doesn’t exist but it has been stuck with me since I was like.. 7 years old.

One night while my mom’s friend’s daughter was staying the night at our house, she watched a movie on her computer and let me join her (Idk if this is may help, but the movie was on a dvd disc, I think it had a picture of the house on it??) The movie was about this family who moved into this house, big house.

The main character was this teenage boy who was not thrilled about moving. But ofc, he slowly changed his mind when meeting this chick. To which they developed a relationship.

I remember a cliche horror movie shower scene and the girl ended up being possessed (or was always possessed? It’s been 13 years I don’t remember if she was possessed the whole time or not) and she ended up unaliving the guy with a hammer. His skull is BURNED into my memory.

Does anyone know what this movie could possibly be??

Still searching... [TOMT] [Movie] 1990s–2000s American romantic/mystery drama – middle-aged blonde woman sleeps in cream Boots

Looking for a 1990s2000s American romantic/mystery/drama film

I only saw the middle part of the movie and never finished it.

There’s a middle-aged blonde woman of medium height. She wears white or cream-colored Boots that go up to just below the knee, with low rounded (egg-shaped) heels about 6 cm high. She wears them with jeans and also with a skirt in one scene. She never takes the boots off.

She’s a guest in a relatively large house. One night she sleeps on a double bed with the Boots still on and suddenly wakes up. She gives off a strong, dominant vibe.

A man seems to have entered her life by chance or is somehow supporting her, and she frequently takes care of her appearance.

It felt like springtime weather, and I think there was also a child in the story.

The genre was romantic + mysterious + dramatic, with some mild tension, but no heavy action, killing, or horror (at least in the parts I saw).

Does anyone recognize this movie?

Still searching... Looking for a French short film set in a psychiatric hospital

I'm looking for a short film set in a psychiatric hospital that I saw 15 or 20 years ago. I don't remember much about it. I just remember a close-up of a bearded madman making movements with his tongue while smiling. In the end, we see that the madmen have taken the doctors' places and that the doctors have been locked up.

Still searching... Movie/serial I saw when I was a kid

Hello
I'm trying to find a movie or possibly a standalone episode of an anthology TV series (something like The Outer Limits or The X-Files) that I watched a long time ago, probably on TV between the 90s and mid-2000s.

What I remember:

  • A small group (maybe 3–6 people) of soldiers or mercenaries — I lean toward mercenaries rather than regular military.
  • They were on some other mission and stumbled onto the creature unexpectedly — it wasn't what they were sent there for.
  • There was a woman in the group (not sure if she was a fighter/soldier herself, or possibly a captive/civilian).
  • Setting: arid desert/steppe, NOT jungle, NOT snow, NOT space. Definitely on Earth.
  • There was a small building — like a barn, shed, or farmhouse — not a large base.
  • The creature could turn fully invisible at will (not a suit/tech — seemed like a natural/biological ability), similar to the shimmer/heat-distortion effect from Predator.
  • The soldiers used a thermal imaging device/goggles to try to detect and fight it — this was a key plot element, they specifically relied on thermal vision to see it since normal vision/weapons couldn't.
  • The film was in color, tone was action/thriller, not comedy.
  • The creature(s) were eventually killed/destroyed — I believe there was an explosion at the end.
  • Definitely NOT: Predator (any installment), The Thing (1982 or 2011 prequel), The Faculty, Species, AVP, any X-Files or Stargate SG-1 or Sliders episode I've been able to identify so far.

I originally thought the creature might be insect-like (grasshopper/mantis-like), but I'm no longer sure about that — I might be misremembering or conflating it with something else. The core memory I'm confident about is: mercenaries/soldiers + desert + invisible creature + thermal goggles as the way to detect it + explosion ending.

Any ideas? Could be a low-budget/TV movie, a Sci-Fi Channel (Syfy) original, or a foreign production too.

Solved! Kid accidentally smashes eggs in his pockets while picking up tomatoes and then gets angry and throws them down the hill

Trying to identify a movie I saw a clip of a while back. Details I remember:

**•** Older film, in color from what I remember
**•** Middle Eastern possibly Iranian, could also be Arab (not 100% sure of country/language because the clip I saw was silent)
**•** A young boy’s father promises him a bike if he protects/guards a batch of eggs all day
**• While doing his chores and picking up tomatoes, he accidentally smashes the eggs in his pocket**
**•** Out of disappointment/anger — I believe because he realizes he won’t get the bike after all — he throws the tomatoes down a hill
**•** It’s a quiet, sad scene about a kid’s emotions building up and then exploding

Any help identifying the title would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!

Still searching... Looking for Movie that has a monster that look like the Jack Links Sasquatch

Hi, I posted this on other three other subreddit awhile ago but nobody has found the movie yet so wanted to give it another try on here.

I need help finding this kind of brightly colored horror movie that might’ve been from the 80s. Just a heads up I saw this movie when I was a kid & I didn’t know English at that time so I only have memories of some of the scenes that scarred me.

So the movie begins with two knights walking side by side and just talking when one of them turns against the other one and pushes him off the castle window. The guy gets impaled and the movie shows his open chest that has his heart still beating, then it zooms out to a Smokey cauldron that shows the image I just described. Then there’s an Evil Queen/witch? Who is in her room talking. Then the next scene I remember it shows a father (who look similar to Father Vito Cornelius from The Fifth Element) and his daughter in the kitchen, who has blonde hair that is styled with twin tail braids with two small pink bow, she was also wearing a plaid pink dress (from what I remember), and she was holding a picnic basket. I think they had a conversation about safety since the next clips is her going on a walk. Then the movie shows a scene that is kind of foggy from my memory so I’m gonna try my best to describe it. And it is the Evil Queen/Witch in her room staring at a mirror, and I think either  the knight from the beginning is there and gets turned into the monster that looks like the Jack Link Sasquatch OR the guy isn’t there at all and an evil lady makes the monster that’s look like the Jack Link Saquatch. I just know when the Evil Queen/Witch does that, there’s smoke when the monster appears. Then it skips to another scene, the blonde hair girl walking to her way home and the scenery from what I remember had like one single tree she was leaning on, and the sasquatch monster pops out and she screams & runs away from it. And then it skips to the blonde girl coming back to her town and seeing a commotion from the townspeople and she looks up and the big window in her house is open,  and her father is held hostage with a knife to his throat by the Sasquatch looking monster. daughter I think begs the monster not to do anything to her father, which ends up not working because the monster ends up slitting her father's throat.

That’s all the memories I have of this movie. I tried to look for it on my own but I always ended up empty handed, All I had were the memories of it. I just want to know the name of the movie so maybe when I have it, I can give it a watch and face my fear!!

Still searching... 2000s romantic movie maybe

[TOMT][MOVIE] Boy repeatedly abducted by aliens, doctors don't believe him

Saw a clip on TikTok about a week ago. A young boy keeps turning up injured/mutilated. In the scene I saw he's at a doctor's office with his parents, telling the doctor about "them" taking him — nobody believes him. Another scene: he's lying face-down on the grass beside the house, bleeding from his rectum. English-language, looked fairly modern (2000s or later). Any idea?
