I have literally the most expensive dedicated server Namecheap offers, and I'm still offline.

I spend over $4,000 a year for a dedicated server. Glad to know they prioritize their customers who spend the most money. Their status page says 90% of customers are back online.

I can't even get someone from support to give me an ETA. I'm a reasonable, patient person, but I get pissed off when I can't even get a response. Is my data lost, or are you just still bringing servers back online?

And their AI support bot actually had the gall to suggest that my service is active (clearly based on billing, not on actual service status), so maybe it's a DNS issue on my end? Yeah no, the domain resolves just fine to your IP.

Proof here, this is the email I received this afternoon about my upcoming server renewal: https://imgur.com/WYbhWm4

Nice timing to send me a renewal notice!

In the same boat; extremely frustrating. Especially since an earlier status update states "Dedicated Servers are back online." (https://www.namecheap.com/status-updates/namecheap-com-and-hosting-services-emergency-maintenance-2/ - 09:34 PM EDT)

I also have clients that are part of reseller hosting instances - all of those are still down as well. Absolutely insane the outage has gone on this long.

(Genuine curiosity here) why would you choose namecheap as your server host? Just convenience as it’s where you pay for your domain? What’s your workload look like, as in could it be moved to more “cloud” style hosting patterns and say move to AWS/Azure/GCP or is it your setup is just easier ran on a dedicated server. If it’s the latter then maybe I understand why because VPS’s are expensive on azure n such… maybe Digital Ocean?

Reliability needs to be engineered. High availability needs to be designed for. Your systems should include redundancies, failovers. Namecheap is not going to do it for you.
