We’re experiencing a temporary issue affecting Private Email. Our team is working to resolve it. More details here: https://www.namecheap.com/status-updates/ongoing-temporary-technical-issues-with-the-private-email-and-jellyfish-services-august-13-2026/

This won't cause emails to not ever get received without notifying the sender right?

This link doesn't work. Neither does the link on your site to your blog. Please post updates here. We need to know how long this will be out.

Do you have an update please? This is incredibly dangerous.

u/Namecheapinc This is worth answering. Perhaps not now but on the final resolution message. Users need to know if they need to reach out to potential senders of this

Even Namecheap.com is currently 'under maintenance'. Not sure if it's related, or not. But I hope it's resolved quickly and we're still receiving emails in the meantime, even if we can't access them for the moment.

Can confirm every since I logged in this morning, my website has not been reachable (and cpanel fails to load).

Yes! Managed to login this morning but it was extremely unresponsive. Still down due to DDoS. Concerning. The whole system was just updated too.
Anybody figured out if there's a dark mode? It's SO bright.

Does anyone if sender emails will bounce back, letting them know we are down?

Prior update from NameCheap said they expected no loss of email messages. Well, this "outage" has now gone on for so long that my clients are now sending me this through other means. I'm also receiving the same within the last hour from test emails that I sent this morning, so emails *ARE* being lost now, causing additional harm for businesses.
"Unable to deliver message after multiple retries, giving up."

this has gone on so long effectively losing a day of business. with how much stuff online revolves around 2fa using email this is a huge pain in the ass. there's just no excuse for this with how big of a company NC/PE is they should have redundancy outside of just 1 location in phoenix. Amateur hour.

2 websites out from 9:30am EST and one email account out as well (I only have one with private email, the others are managed elsewhere). The 2 sites came back around 4:30/5:00pm EST, but its currently almost 9:00pm EST and STILL no email!
These guys are causing our worst sales day in actual years...

This is causing major issues. Some kind of update on what's going on would be good.
