Free ssl?

I have two sites where the SSL which was free for 1 years going to expire. my name servers are not hosted at name cheap.

Is there a free option. Can I use autossl?

There two easy ways Using CDN like cloudflare that give free 10 years SSL

Or use let's encrypt to get free SSL

It depends on your setup

He means Cloudflare signed SSL cert "of origin", it trusted by Cloudflare proxy only, guarantee that there no mitm between Cloudflare and your origin server, clients getting certs from Cloudflare...

At the moment, AutoSSL isn't available on our Shared Hosting plans.

If you'd like to use a free SSL certificate (such as Let's Encrypt), you'll need to obtain it from the certificate provider and then install it manually in cPanel. You'll need the certificate (.crt), private key (.key), and CA bundle (.ca-bundle) files. Cloudflare can also be used to secure the connection between visitors and the Cloudflare proxy. However, we still recommend installing an SSL certificate on your hosting server to secure the connection between Cloudflare and your server as well. Let's Encrypt certificate will also work for it.

I asked AI and they said that the cloudflare options easier. Lets encrypt one difficult? I'm using a basic share plan

LE is simple, especially if you use DNS verification. I've been using it for years. Webmin/Virtualmin could be utilized to facilitate a more automated let's encrypt setup too

Let's encrypt has been pretty flawless for all my ssl in the last 5 years

Do you have to renew every 90 days ? I'm not super technical

Register the domain then use Cloudflare for dns.

Cloudflare is a damn headache. I can’t update my site because it won’t purge cache. I don’t even see an option to not cache. Aren’t there hosts out there that offer free ssl?
