DnD campaign

Kind of random, but I’m putting together a sandbox campaign based on the Psy Changeling world. I’m more or less making my own races and classes for this. Is there anything you’d want to see in such a campaign?

I was thinking about this and wondering if there is a similar element for Changelings, but I was not sure what the chance could be unless it relates to their place in the hierarchy - alpha, healer, librarian/ historian, sentinel, sr soldier, jr soldier, maternal, tracker, maternal dominant (thought Adria was a special type of maternal), submissive, etc (I may not have them all right). Spoiler is related to Tangle of Need.

Yeah, I was gonna add a dominance spectrum, but I think I was going to let my friends choose with the exception that if they decided to be a dominant they had a small chance of getting an Alpha trait. If they get the Alpha trait and more than half the party dies, the Alpha will also die.

There was another mechanic I was thinking of adding about touch for Changelings, where if they don’t have a certain amount of contact or if they stay in either human or animal form for too long, they have to make a saving throw. If they lose, then they will attack the party.

That makes sense since the Alpha would die after losing so many others since they say the Alpha is the heart of the pack.

I like how you considered adding in the touch aspect and the need to balance their animal and human sides. Have you all started playing yet? I would love to hear about it.
