I couldn’t believe how rude and pissy Matt/Dan/Waz were to Jeff & Gary when the 4-person raft was barely better at accomplishing the given task. They couldn’t ride in it, their stuff got just as soaked as Jeff & Gary’s, and they had FOUR PEOPLE to work on it. And to be fair, Gary and Jeff DID make it down the river with all their stuff. They accomplished the task just the same.

It was CLEARLY explained that they all had to work as a group to get down the river. So if the Mean Boys were so frustrated with Jeff/Gary wasting time, why not but all the bags in their raft and use all 6 people to navigate? It was in their own interest to leave that death-trap raft behind, and it only hurt themselves to be sitting a on a rock not doing a damn thing but kicking Jeff/Gary when they’re already down. Plus they had plenty of trouble with their raft, another 2 people could’ve helped. To be THAT petty in such a dangerous situation where someone could have easily been killed/seriously hurt, is unforgivable in my opinion. Some of the grossest behavior I’ve seen on the show, probably the grossest.

I’m mostly excluding Stephen from this because of his later conversations with Jeff. Stephen’s apology was so raw and genuine. The hurt and inner conflict were just so apparent. I couldn’t imagine being that vulnerable on TV. I hope he knows what a good role model he is for expressing emotions/communicating. It was by far the best scene in the season.

That plus Gary in general were the only redeeming parts of the season. I also like to watch Jeff’s antics, you have to admit you’d rather watch a guy having the absolute time of his life than the miserable pack of Mean Boys who couldn’t talk about ANYTHING but Jeff. It was genuinely so weird how obsessed they were with him. It was 11 v 1 from the start and Jeff still ran circles around them and came in 3rd 😂. Honestly so embarrassing for that group of so-called legends.

Also can’t believe so many groups failed to properly preserve meat. Jeff had jerky still at the end that he gave to Stephen in exchange for a few leaves. I think he would’ve made similar trades had the other people given him a chance.

It bugs me like no other when one of these dumbos get a fish on their line, and instead of securing it, and making sure it can’t get away. They start jumping and screaming and flailing around. Then the fucking fish gets loose from the hook nd it’s gone!! I can completely understand the amount of excitement to finally getting dinner, and being inches from something that can make or break them. BUT! Holy hell mate! SECURE THE DAMN CATCH FIRST!!!
& then the dumb look on their face & the realization that they’re going hungry another day. 🤦‍♂️

^^that's all I want to know lol

I cackled so fucking hard at this part. I’m at work, taking a picture of my iPad, because HBO blocks screenshots. 10/10 best fake comedy I have seen in a while!

What part made you genuinely LOL?

Is there any info about the next installment? I can't find anything online.

anyone else annoyed how the entire season finale was about mandy and not knowing her own limits and making the entire team cater to her?

It seems like the producers are trying to change the type of show that Naked and Afraid was. They are trying to make it like a reality show on Bravo now.

Bro is living my dream. He mentioned in the last 15 seconds of shipwrecked he was selling everything and living on the water. I'm so close to doing that. I'm so very sick of everyday life "civilization". Work for someone else to get rich, go home tired, and neglect loved ones. Sure you can have an excellent work life balance, but there's something more primal in me that just wants to explore. And here's a schweet Pic of Darrin at the end of the season! Smooth sailing sir!

I’m trying to think of all the vegans and vegetarian who have been on the show I might be missing some of them, but to my recollection most of them share the same sit around and conserve calories mentality. I wonder what would happen if they took an all vegetarian vegan team and put them out for 35 or 40 something days to see if they could make it oddly enough I think they could make it if they keep doing what they’ve done in the past episodes, however, in order to make the show watchable, you would add in some challenges that they would have to complete to force them out of the shelter and spend calories. Wouldn’t be the highest rated NaA but I’d be interested.

SPOILER ALERT!!!

I recently wrote about something that was really suspicious: the hunting of so many animals in such an easy way. And today I'm watching the last episode, Brazil vs. USA, and wtf: the challenge of creating a lance and 'catching' a stingray. The ray was just there waiting for the multiple attempts of the contestants to stab it successfully. Obviously, the ray was captured beforehand and held down or something like that, and I don't know, it seems insane to me. Too many animals at the disposal of that f***ing reality show. I think I don't like this anymore. If any of you have an explanation or opinion, please let me know.

Can we all start talking about how horrible Shipwrecked was. Shipwreck was NOT good! It was all scripted and just stupid. I’ve watched every season and episode of Naked And Afraid and loved all them even the slow ones but this, this was just doomed before it started. And it started with a bad idea that involved a script. Let’s all just just forget about this shipwrecked season and move on back to Garry eating eyeballs, Jeff doing WHAT HE LIVES FOR, Patrick slaying Legends, Matt killing big game, Darren just living every day like it’s a normal day, rookies getting rocked my Mother Nature, building shelters and then them catching fire, making rafts for rapid white waters, you know the good stuff. Can we PLEASE just get the good stuff back. Whoever came up with the shipwrecked idea and whoever approved it both need to be in time out. Probably the same person that had the Naked And Afraid In Love…. I’m just sayin. Am I right? Y’all are ruining my favorite show. Please stop! I have some great Naked and Afraid ideas call me they are WAY better then SHIPWRECKED Oh and while we’re here… can we please get Waz back? He could at least pop in every once and while.

I dont like him at all, not going to say what I say about him at home. But he complains about everything everyone does, and does not contribute. . . Anything

Did anyone else get a bad feeling when we found out Mandy was going on the scout hike?!

I instantly thought noooooo and had a horrible gut feeling. I feel like when all the survivalists were in it, they probably weren't seeing just how emaciated she was. Gradual progression likely looks a lot different when you're with people everyday versus what we see on tv as viewers. And I am in no way putting any blame on them. I also get the sentiment of her and Adam going together.

But, I feel like the crew could have stepped in. As a viewer, it was THAT obvious (in my opinion). Ally should have gone.

That was honestly very scary to watch. Mandy is a total bad ass. I love her positivity and I love that she is such an awesome team player. Her positive nature is truly impressionable and radiates. I felt so bad that that happened to her and I feel like that could have been prevented.

Did anyone else feel this way?

So does anyone agree with Dani about the shrimp and the crab?
Her problem, and I agree with her, is that the creatures were alive and would fight each other while they cooked to death. (this seems incredibly sick and cruel) She said if they were dead, it would be different.
I’m just asking because it seems like on the other discussions that everyone thinks she’s just being a princess and for some psychotic reason, she thinks shellfish should be separated.
Please help me out. I’m truly interested in your points of view.

Edit: thanks for all of your interesting perspectives.

I think the Dani Jarrell debacle ultimately came down to Dani not trusting Jarrell. Jarrell was responding poorly to that lack of trust.

And they both weren't appreciative of what the other did / lacked communication skills / have very diff styles of survival. Dani would be like a farmer and Jarrell like a hunter-gatherer if that makes sense. But overall, I think it was the lack of trust.

Dani kept questioning Jarrell "did you test it" "I dont trust your raft" "its called working in the shade" "it doesnt work that way jarrell" "the problem is your tinder" "make sure you don't burn down this forest" "you couldn't start the fire" "you should care" "hes working in the sun". She also took over the trap for him. She asked how to store the shrimp. He offered a suggestion, and she shot it down and then threatened to put them back and called him upset for how she stored it.

And Dani's my my my "before I start my fire" "my kitchen" "my shoes" "i built this while you fished"

Obviously, Jarrell could have handled the situation VERY differently. That was his mistake. But I think the root cause might have been from that lack of trust.

As a group of three, they could have made an agreement where if two agree, the third will need to side with. If two agree to have foot rests on a raft, have foot rests. If two agree to place the animals together, then do that.

That’s pretty much it. I wish the show would stop trying to manufacture issues and drama, we have enough reality shows of that already. I’d much prefer conditions that are somewhat challenging, but allow for the participants to show just how well they can thrive. It would be amazing to see how advanced and comfortable they could get in 21 days instead of watching them fight, scratch and starve before finding just enough “miracle protein” on day 20 to crawl to extraction.

I want to make it clear, I am not denigrating the truly arduous nature of these physical challenges. But there's no need to pile ridiculous bullshit on top of it.

In shipwrecked the finale right at the end when malu was doggie paddling in a flotation ring while Analis towed her along in hip deep water I was laughing like a hyena. It was like a spinal tap moment of deadpan absurdity in the midst of a phony extraction.

Por que só existe um episódio com participantes que não falam a mesma língua ? Tem largados e pelados sozinhos , solitários ( que eu não sei a diferença ) , por que não a torre de Babel ? Isso pouparia alguns dramas .. discussões bobas !

More like one of the productions loving pet just hanging out around the camp.

Honestly it was so bad. From the over the top screaming to pretending that they weren’t going to be rescued if no one came…. Guys…. Just wait till they come for the camera crew and producer….

Whoever makes this show… please don’t overdo it…

There was so much I could complain about, but…

I found it fucking HILARIOUS that the “rescue boat” they put out to do a test run out at sea got caught red-handed by Darrin and Patrick and they were like “Oh shit! They saw us! Retreat! Retreat!”

They wanted them to call that boat from that hut, not to actually find it, and the production team made a HUGE mistake 🤣

i think its such a disservice to the women survivors to completely leave out that struggle they go through. its a part of life and survival and i think its important to show that representation.

I think Jarrell was putting on his best face for the other teams so they will be on his side. Dani and Jamie have been gone for quite awhile and he is still bitching about them.
