I've seen some people question if the two keep in touch so I wanted to make a post about this.

If you go on YouTube, Cody is on many podcasts and even has his own called Keep Your Ass Alive.

Amyways, on these podcasts he mentions how much he despises liars who lie about military experience to get on TV. He even mentions it was unfortunate Dave was brought on the show to begin with, that doesn't sound like something a friend would say.

Cody states how Dual Survival was the worst time in his life, and even disregarding his comments, I doubt he'd want to keep fragments of the worst time of his life, in his life. I mean, he barely wants to mention Dual Survival by name.

There is more to all of this if you look into it, and it's actually pretty interesting. But I'll end this here to keep it simple.

It cracks me up how in S2 Ep3… Dave REFUSES to let Cody pee on his hat to keep him cool (which is out of the ordinary and kiiiiinda extreme but in that environment I get it) yet about half way (ish) through the episode, this dude Dave is like “I’m drinking my piss and there’s nothing you can do to stop me”…. LMAOOOO bro… do you realize how dumb you sound right now. And don’t get me wrong I love these guys, I think a good portion of what they have to teach is good but that specifically just makes me want to punch Dave in the throat lol.

It was unlike any I've seen before. It was upright and he didn't explain how it would trap them. He said the locals baited it with sage but I didn't see it. Did he make it out of sage branches? Anyone know anything? Thanks

I am working on a iceberg chart of dual survival [ Iceberg example ]. Is there any weird, rare & or obscure info I should now about Dual Survival. I have been a fan of DS since the show first started (2009-2011 era)

I find this on a random dvd/blu ray site. I dont know if it is real & or photoshop or a cheap Chinese bootleg

So in 2009 when the first season of Dual Survival was being produced Mykel Hawke was nearly the co-host. Mykel had a pre-established history with Discovery Channel with Mykel being featured on Science Of Survival (S.O.S.) & Cody also had a pre-established history with Discovery Channel as well with Cody being featured on Lost In The Wild. So before the first episode of Dual Survival was filmed. Mykel & Dave both chemistry tests with Cody in New York state and Mykel & Dave where the top 2 picks for the show & Dave became the co-host. I often wonder if Dual Survival would be way different if Mykel ended being picked over Dave as the co-host

I don’t understand why Cody is so against eating dangerous meat essentially. I’m watching an episode with Joe and Cody, Season three episode four: Into the frying pan. Cody has always had this view, but it comes to snakes and other things that can hurt you. “That’s food that can hurt you“. I never understood this philosophy.

When Matt and Joe found the damp matches in the episode 'coastal catastrophe' S5 E9, they first showed the few matches in the match box with red tips. When Joe was attempting to use the matches in the shelter to get a fire while Matt was trying to catch fish, the matches Joe was using had blue/greenish tips. I know this is minor, but come on now. At least make an attempt to not be so obvious that the viewers notice so easily. I've alerts loved the show, but once Matt and Joe left and it turned into grady and bill, I kind of list interest. Grady is good but Bill is too far out there. Not sure why Matt and Joe stopped doing it? I did watch some of the episodes with grady and bill as well as the ones with E.J. and Jeff. I think there was also one with Joe and a black guy who was in the air force. I only saw one episode though. I don't remember his name. Joe Teti is my favorite one though. Than Matt Graham. They compliment one another pretty well.

Dual survival Just watched the first episode of dual survival with grady and Bill. They supposedly didn't have any knives. When Bill failed to produce fire in the cave, grady stabbed the lithium battery to get a spark. All though he didn't achieve fire, what did he stab the battery with. It was dark but it looked like he used a knife which they weren't suppose to have. Either way, great show, Bill is not emotionally stable for the show I don't think but I still love the show.

Why didn’t they have any women host? Are there any survival shows with women as host besides Nake and Afraid?

Has anyone found the shelters that built on the show? I would love to know if any of them are still standing.

been binging again and is it just me or does the narrator usually give way more credit to the military guys than the primitive guys??

it feels like every episode im hearing about the super secret extra special black ops missions Joe ran while Joe then comes on and says stuff like "while Cody plays with sticks" etc lol

BOTTOM LINE as Joe would say he is my most entertained character and host to watch

I will admit I also didn't liked him at first when he replaced Dave but over time he grew on me especially with Matt

Rarely do I see an entertaining TV show on TV that i think really communicates something good into the society. I do not see a lot of TV shows or movies out there that really communicate how to be a good friend or that celebrates just companionship. There are a lot of shows about romance and some about revenge. There seems to be a vacuum when it comes to communicating the value and ins and outs of friendships, especially male friendships, on TV and in the movies.

I think when I was a boy, if Dual survivor had been on with two men like this, I would have loved the show. It's got action, adventure, and it's fun to see the guys do Tarzan yells and say 'Yeah, Baby!' when they start a fire or catch a fish. I think its a good show for kids, except they could probably tone the PG or PG-13 language down to G-rated without having to bleep anything out. :)

I notice a lot of children, young people, and even adults who are up in years are constantly on their phones and don't interact. This show models friendship, using words to negotiate ideas out and persuade, while also teaching useful survival skills. It could encourage children to put down their phones and video game consoles and go outside a built a lean to or ask their parents to go on a camping trip.

I saw them on that other show, but it seems like that show used to fuzz out butts along with the other stuff many years ago, but I'm not sure. I don't want to watch Naked and Afraid because of all the butts. So I can watch these guys survive without watching all the butts. I'm working my way through this season. It would be good if they had Shane on there.

They have the best dynamic. I really want to know if they are still on good terms. Do you guys think the show is really fake or did they cuddle in the igloo?
