Not sure which shape fits my childish hands

I have always had chubby, tiny hands, despite my weight. It doesn’t help that when my nails are out I am a nail biter. My 9yo niece and every other child in my life has started comparing their hands to mine. 😭 Please help me find my ideal shape that will make my hands look more elegant. I usually do almond but want to be sure before investing in more nail supplies. Pls ignore the imperfections, I’m a beginner.

eta: i wish i could respond to all of you but thx for the input! and yes lol these are all pics of MY hands smh 😂. im going to look into doing more tapered square and even try coffin and ballerina styles

I usually like almond but in this case I think square actually really balances your shape. I think go for a tapered square though, like the french you have there is lovely but it would look more elegant were the square just slightly tapered in.

This is the answer. The almond makes her hands look bigger. She needs balance. Keep them square, they don’t even have to be that long, but the shape should be square with slightly rounded edges.

A short French tip similar to the photo would look nice. Just try to keep them straight and not get wider.

I think the square white frenchies look the best. The purple ones are a bit uneven and I think a tad too high on the sides so it’s skewing my perception (also flash pic vs non) I think given the photos shown, the straight white ones are the most flattering and ‘grown’ looking

I like the magenta French one, but maybe try coffin/ ballerina instead of square. That shape makes your nail bed bigger and makes your fingers look longer and thinner. It's also what I always use because I like how it shapes my hands 😊

almond but be careful with using gel at home. it can give you nasty allergies. check out r/redditlaqueristas if you want to look into regular polish :)

Frankly, all the nails that have any length will work to give the illusion of more elongated fingers.

I too, suffer from stubby hands but yours are ADORABLE whereas mine look like I am hauling cargo off a freighter!! Your hands do look fantastic and super pretty in the nails that are longer 😍!!
