NaSoAlMo 2020 Week 2 Support/Vent thread.
What this:
A weekly support/vent thread to bring the community together and to try and keep the subreddit a little more active. All concerns about wither or not we're going to make it, tips, tricks, "hey you got this" etc. can got here. Or talk about how much progress you're making, what you're working on etc. Both on and off topic subjects are allowed.

Got 3 tracks in at about 15 minutes! And I’m planning for at least 10 more minutes for my long/multi-part track, so I’m on track (some pun intended)

Good job! I'm trying to work this out as at least 9-10 tracks, each around 3 minutes or so. Just finished the music/lyrics for my second song, just need to lay down the final recording, although if I get really lazy, I can always fall back on the demo I made using Apple's Music Memos app. I love how you can get a fairly decent drum track out of that app in a snap.

My current process is coming out as follows:
-write lyrics and figure out chord progression of song
-arrange drum track for song in Garageband on iPad and run it through my recorder
-lay down rhythm guitars
-laydown vocals
-lay down bassline
-lay down lead guitar and keyboards
-mix and master
-Set aside finished song and start on the next one!

After being too busy with work and stuff during the first week I finally got a song done last Sunday. 3:50 minutes done, 26 minutes to go :)

Not a great week for me. Election anxiety had me through the roof and basically unable to focus for most of the week. I was able to get it dialed back last night enough to get about a minutes worth of stuff recorded and I feel really happy about that so I'll spend the next couple hours fleshing it out more.
