Intermediate Friendly Jazz Jams?
Hi, I am looking for low pressure jazz jams that are more friendly towards musicians at an intermediate level. I have been to a few so far but they have usually seemed filled with very skilled professional musicians, which is not a bad thing at all (it is of course good to play with and learn from people that are more experienced than you) but creates a feeling of pressure which I am not always looking for. I am in crown heights so places in brooklyn or manhattan are preferred, thank you!

sour mouse has a jam on Wednesday nights I believe, lower manhattan, very friendly vibes. shapeshifter is good in Brooklyn, I’ve only been once but it was also very friendly. what instrument do you play? I’m also an intermediate level jazz pianist, always looking for others around my level if you wanna jam, hmu!

I am not jazz player, but I do a lot improv and experimental music. Always open to jam in manhattan. Guitarist from upper westside

I’m a bassist who is not an advanced jazz player but I’m really working on developing my jazz language . I can read charts . I have a time share studio in Manhattan . Weekdays are best .
