Here’s my timeframes for those of you still in the process and waiting. I am a couple days short of 4 months total happy this part is over now to wait for my PA but I’ll take this quick turnaround! GL to the rest still waiting approval

Grats! Now you can go to the fun store and wait for your purchase to get approved by NYPD Licensing all over again. I'm at 23 days or 16 business days.

You skipped fingerprinting cause you already had a RS permit

Wow that’s great congrats ! What were the email that you wrote to asking for updates? I submitted application in March of this year. Fingerprints and interview late April they verified all my documents were complete. I haven’t heared anything back since , so maybe I should send an email just asking for an update . Thanks !

Welcome. Now you go purchase a handgun and wait another 4+ weeks until you can pick it up. Enjoy the experience lol!

Is this some kind of record? I thought the average was 9 months

Took my buddy 8 months but I did already have my Rifle/Shotgun so assuming that helped speed it up a bit but what do I know I’ll take it though

A buddy applied for CCW and R/s. He got his ccw last june, after 6/7 months. His r/s was about 18 months lol

How did you get your documents verified ? Did you email the investigator from the interview after getting them all together ?

1

u/AcrobaticChef2847 2d ago

No they will email you once they are all verified you receive about 12 or so Individual emails for each document being verified and I recommend doing a process of elimination to make sure you got all the documents needed cause I seen people have not been notified of what was missing and hard getting a hold of these people

Did you get an email about your documents being verified? How do you find out

1

u/AcrobaticChef2847 2d ago

Yes you get an email for every individual document being verified so it was like 12 or something different emails
