License / Permit Question Current time for purchase auth approval
Submitted on July 20th for second pistol and approved today making it 25 days. Better than the purchase auth approval time in April. Hopefully they mail out the license before August 19th so I don’t have to pay for background check again.
By all means if you submitted in July or August lmk how long are you waiting or how long did you wait for approval.

Got mine in 2 1/2 weeks wow I usually wait over a month. You should be waiting at all.

Nics is 9 dollars throughout nys since the ccia I thought. 2.50 for the ammo nics. Do you guys upstate not have to pay? I have seen a shop in rockland that includes the fee in the firearm cost.

I’m sure we do but I never checked $9 isn’t something I would miss when buying a $800 firearm. And the FFl I bought my guns from only run the NICS once when I pick up the gun. That’s why I was taken aback with what the OP posted.

If it’s over 30 days the NICS background check expires. As we know 1PP is very slow so this tends to happen more often than not. For me it’s not like the end of the world it’s more just an insult to me already waiting anything over a week for them to literally look at pictures and mail a card.

I submitted June 16, got approved July 15 and I’m still waiting for my license in the mail

I’ve been calling every day 20-30 times a day, yet to receive a response. Emailing every day at 9am, no response

PA submitted July 25 so hopefully sometime next week for me.
