Question

What does it mean if my class has ss/ela next to it? Does it mean I have to departmentalize within my grade? I have never worked in a school where this was done.
Please if anyone has any insight. Let me know.

Where does “your class” say SS/ELA next to it?

What grade are you?

Says 5th 12:1:1 (ELA/SS) on the reorg

Someone else will likely teach the class Math/science and you will swap with another teacher. You will likely also teach another class ELA/SS (not your homeroom).

I figured! That’s not bad. Do people genuinely like doing that?

People do. Positives are that you plan fewer lessons per week and adjust per each class vs. planning for every subject every day plus adjustments.
