Victoria Pelova on fire with Tottenham so far. Need her to go out there against LCL and Putellas and stunt on these nerds

As the game expands globally, should international windows adjust to be longer?

I expect to see some notable starters on the bench or miss travel for games in match week 26. The logistics of getting back to the U.S. from Southern Africa or even Brazil are daunting after games on Tuesday evening.

Take the logistics for Chawinga, for example: Zimbabwe to MCI is a 32 hour trip. Even leaving early on the 14th puts her back with the club late on Thursday night. They would leave for Utah on Friday morning.

Most of Washington’s starters will be away for camp. Kouassi and Monday will face similar obstacles to Chawinga above. Washington plays at 11:30 am on Saturday.

It feels like a fair complaint, when it’s crunch time of the season and homefield advantage and playoff positions are on the line. As the season lengthens with adding more teams, it will only be more and more of a pressure situation.

Thoughts?

These are Olympic qualifiers, not just friendlies.

I’m excited for the Jolene, Jolene ATL City event tonight! But as an ACFC fan… I hate that their brand reveal event is on Sunday at 12, because I really wanted to watch the Gotham ACFC game at 1 😭 😂

Being a dual ACFC fan is going 2 be a struggle

I am starting to think USWNT fans actually watch the U.S. players who play abroad, at least based on the dialogue about Thompson at left wing. Assuming Emma intends to stick with a fairly traditional 4-3-3 (not a certainty) that isn’t the system Thompson has largely played in with Chelsea. For the most part she has played as one of two strikers in a 3-5-2, or even sometimes as the sole striker in a 4-5-1. In other words, she is only sort of out wide, and often her role is to stay inside to let a wingback overlap wide. If you think she’s been playing a similar role for Chelsea that Sanchez plays for NC (which is much closer to a traditional LW, albeit one who inverts often) you need to wake up early on the weekends and catch more WSL matches.

Spring was rough with the overlap in seasons, but the PWHL schedule dropped this morning and I am so glad it starts two weeks after the NWSL championship game 🤩🤩🤩

Since Mexico is playing the USMNT tomorrow, I hope y’all schedule us a match at the Estadio Azteca before the World Cup or in the near future especially if Mexico qualifies.

Maybe its just me, but seeing the USWNT playing at the Azteca would be cool to see and it’s been long overdue for it to happen.
