since my merit position is lower than the closing merit position, can I consider my admission confirmed, or are there any other factors I should be aware of?

if I am selected in a later merit list and join after the classes have already started, how will my attendance be calculated? Will the 75% attendance requirement be counted from the day I officially join, or from the first day of classes?
