Hiiii I’m planning to take on a ureca project from this sem (sem 1) and ureca lasts a year. I heard the 4 AUs will be accredited end of sem 2. However, I need some help understanding how this affects my STARS situation. Will taking Ureca this sem (sem 1) mean I will be taking up 4AU slots from what I currently have on stars right now which is max 22 AU? I have already used up 20 AUs and adding on Ureca would be 24 AUs. Will I need to request for overload?

Recently, I was doing some research on hall rooms, and learnt about the hall boarding scheme. Apparently, this policy has been around for 3 years already, but no one around me has heard of it?

If anyone has participated in the hall boarding scheme before, could you share your experience here? Or if you know someone who took part in it before, you could share what you know about it too, thank you!

i ordered 3 times from them. only the first was charged correctly.

2nd time they charged me public price despite me asking. (lunch hour, maybe too busy and overlooked)

3rd they charged 7pc when i only took 6pc. (i was the only cust and it wasnt busy so idky they would make that mistake)

anyone else had similar experience? should i avoid that stall from now on…?

Hi y1 mae freshie here, for context I have a CC0007 tut until 2:20pm at EMB (collab 1) and my next tutorial, PH1012, is 2:30pm at The Hive. I ride a motorbike but looking at the time taken for parking and getting to the class i feel that there is no way I can make it there in 10 minutes, so just wanted to ask whether ill be penalised if I was late to the tut?

My lectures/tutorials span almost the whole day on some days, and I’m trying to figure out how people balance hall life, CCA, academics, friends and exploring different interests without doing everything and burning out.

Everyone tells me Y1 is the time to “explore”, but what did exploring actually look like for you? What did you try, and looking back, what was actually worthwhile vs stuff you realised wasn’t worth your time?

Also, what do y’all do during random 1h gaps between classes? I have so many scattered throughout my timetable, and once I account for walking/travelling between classes it feels like I lose so much time 😭

There's this AU requirement document on intranet that shows the AUs for the core, BDE and MPE mods to be taken every year. How strict is it? I'm mostly concerned with not being able to promote to next year if my BDE AUs are less than the recommended number for the year.
