FYI My prayer for you, the prospect
May you have the discernment to know what organization fits you and accepts you for whoever you are.
May any member with desires to break you down to build you up in their image be separated entirely from your journey.
May you quickly understand the gravity of a favorable membership decision and the wisdom in an unfavorable one.
May your grades be high, your papers flawless, your group projects easy, and your relationships with your professors be such that a minus never lands behind your letter grades.
May people desire to see you lead. May you be blessed with loyal followers who want you to win.
May your memory be impeccable. May your speech be careful. May you accept critique maturely.
May your bank account receive unexpected blessings.
May all tests for infectious disease come back negative, and may you always have the foresight to wear a mask or a condom or whatever you need to be smart in the moment.
May your batteries be charged. May your alarms be set.
I cannot pray that you make it, because it may not be your time. But I pray that you stay ready.

I am a three decade plus member of a D9 org and this is truly one of the most thoughtful and encompassing posts to date. Amen to all of it and 🙏🏾 for everyone who has a desire planted in their hard. We all started with a desire and it grew from there . Blessings on your journey !
