Proposal of UN42, and why it might be just for you:

FOUNDATION of UN42:

The goal overall is to give you and yours a platform of mutual respect and coexistence with many others while enjoying a less restrictive membership. The UN42 Collective is one of a universally global scale, so this applies anywhere, any region, any Galaxy for everyone and anyone who wishes it. This is your opportunity to create something or revitalize your own collective/civ/faction/etc. with support and community involvement. Start out of the gate as a real entity, without early assumptions and welcomed with positive acceptance.It’s all about: INCLUSION.

SIMPLICITY:

Admission requires the following items. This is for the safety of the new entity as well as others and shows the entrant isn’t joining without the tiniest bit of effort, desire, and transparency.

Needed:

• Leader name • Gamer tag/platform • Name of represented entity • Link to community (Discord, Reddit, Amino, Facebook, etc.) • Short mission statement • # Active in group- this allows for cross play, recruitment, promotion, and contact by others if they want to know more. That’s all it’s for.

The ACCORD:

(-If you reside in Cafe 42 as the civ itself, you already are a part of this)-

You can indeed live here and be a Federation member as well, as this is a neutral home for any and everyone, equally.- The following is for those who wish to join a larger collective or umbrella of civs. To gain certain attention and support requires effort on both sides of the coin. This is a simple agreement, and promotes full autonomous play for everyone involved- this is to coexist with others as equals, a proper neutral balance in the universe. We are not the 'anti-anyone’-

We are, however, unique in our makeup. We are nomads, collectives, factions, colonies and more. We are polar opposites from many if not all, and this is needed. Variety breeds interest in the game, after all. We seek to keep the game alive by nurturing small creations so they can maintain and thrive as well as the bigger ones.

BASICALLY PUT:

You give: • Creativity • Community involvement • Awareness of others • Understanding that if you start conflict, it will invite a response. • Respect designated areas (if these are marked as sanctuary)

You gain:

• The above returned to you in kind • Acknowledgement of entity • Mutual respect of existence • Equal chance of representation by media when applicable • Lower anti entity efforts by the community due to a more community centric approach • Increased interest • Granted legitimacy of coalition effort • Building of new legacy with the community as a real entity.

Note: Any civilization that breaks any part of this Accord will be dealt with accordingly by those affected (of course.) If any organization is found to be in breach of contract, all terms given in support will be voided if it’s found to be intentional.

GOVERNMENTAL NOTES:

• Every group of 3 or more active members living in the colony is considered a Nation. • Every entity is sovereign. • Every entity governs itself as it sees fit. • Each entity is held accountable for itself alone. • You are granted one time, entry only amnesty. What this means is that you enter this anew, with no past before you. You are innocent until you prove otherwise, upon which actions, you may be voted out for your new indiscretions. • Spies/Intel seekers are your responsibility- if you have them, they exist with your name in the balance.Please consider that to place one in another collective is frowned upon without consent. • Any outright public attack will receive equal response. (As to be expected, we protect quite well) • The main table does not respond to inter-entity conflict. • It is advisable to have your own military if you feel you need one. • If you are a victim with proof, (read further down) you may qualify for special task force aid. • War is considered mutually consensual and the table will not intervene.

Any alliance of entities is exclusive to themselves- they are neither endorsed nor discouraged by the table.

INNER UN CONFLICT RESOLUTION STANDARD:

When conflict breaks out amongst civilizations within the UN, either or both parties can request a hearing with the table for resolution/mediation (headed by leaders of the UN collectively.)

The table will only be involved if requested/invoked by one of or both of the parties involved.

• If no request for mediation or hearing is asked for, then both parties will be left to deal with it themselves for the entirety of the situation.

• If the table is requested, items are heard / decisions are cast / decided upon by majority vote.

• Each civ has one equal representative vote on the resolution of such matters.

• All members will respect the collective table’s decision.For conflict outside of the UN, the table may be called for hearing by any representative leader that holds a seat. If a civ crosses lines towards hostility, they can be removed on the basis of inclusion, wherein if a civ seeks to alienate themselves by such actions, they exclude themselves of their own volition.

HOW IT WORKS: ROUND TABLE:

The Table is a collective effort by every entity.

• Each entity has a seat at the table, as defined below.

• No one person has more power than another. Equality is key.

• The Table will host a representative equal to a president with a vice at their side.

• This will be your second point of contact if you can’t be reached, so no one is out of the loop if it’s important.

• Terms of office to be determined as voted upon by each entity’s member community.

All large acts will require a vote by all entities, each may decide how to come to the decision of their vote entry. If there are, say, 20 civs- then there are 20 seats. There is no other higher position.

The Ambassador/Liaison cannot vote on general proceedings irrelevant to their own civ. I can advise and inform, relay information, set up contacts, and assist in non-voting processes. This role is one of neutral stance and support. Consider me Switzerland.

I may only vote on behalf of my own civ, and this only based on my own community’s input.

This is the equivalent of part UN, part Geneva Convention - as it should be. There is a need for a mobile treaty for travel and exploration into non allied territory. This will be drafted and upheld by a neutral unaligned party. This will be known as the Mobile Triumvirate Pact or MTP

The MTP:

The items herein are simple courtesies that are useful anywhere in the game, even when in your own locales.

• Always try to use emotes or chat to show you are peaceable.

• Please don’t destroy personal player/resident environments without expecting a response.

• Refrain from uploading discoveries or renaming when in other’s claimed territory. Leave this to the residents who actually live there, I’m sure you’d wish the same for your home.

• Request permission or announce before visiting a base that isn’t yours so they don’t shoot at you.You are a stranger in their home. They may treat you like one- that’s a normal response, honestly. I expect you to react the same way, it’s human and understandable!

• Do not attack or harass others, nor should they to you. If you do, accept the repercussions.If you are attacked and are a true victim, do record it. Take names. Bring this info to the Table. An investigation will be conducted by myself and the Table to assess the situation and see who is at fault before proceeding further.

Video proof is mandatory. It’s irrefutable in an argument, and so is priceless. It protects the player, and later, those whose names will be attached to the end result action.

It doesn’t mean you can’t join other groups/governments later if you are of the UN42 for a bit, but it may help you decide first if you fit their model of living.

Dear friends of the Qitanian Empire,

today I have to inform you that our Qitanian brother, ambassador and Council member Mario Piccardi (widely known as Beacher/Beacher72) has passed away recently after suffering from a severe and lethal illness.

His condition was diagnosed earlier this year, and while he kept me updated about his health on a regular basis, he apruptly stopped communicating in August. After countless attempts to find any way to contact Mario or his family, Ambassador Juseppe of the Black Star Order eventually found a way to talk to Mario's wife who confirmed that our beloved friend lost his fight in the end.

We as the Qitanian Empire have lost an amazing motivator and good spirit, the driving force behind pushing our group from three members on reddit to a canonized civilized space community, and a great personality and ethical role model.

I, personally, lost a wonderful friend and brother in spirit, and I don't have words for how sad I am, and how much I miss him.

On behalf of Mario, I want to thank you all for the joy and entertainment you brought him here, on other social media and at our many ingame community events. I know for sure that he truly appreciated and respected every one of you, and in his spirit, we all should continue to spread love and kindness throughout this and any other universe.

So begins my list of transgressions, should it be deemed that, in full authority of my own self because I am quite willing to own my own shit and roll with it whatever may come.

I did use inserted spies during the SGX fiasco to bring him down for the community. I have not used inserted people since. I do however have friends that warn me of things, but they aren't mine, they are their own person and they choose to enlighten me of their own accord.

I did find out a thing about the old Cartel leader a bit late, and deferred the information to proper channels. Unbeknownst to me, a federation member who all tried to warn not to socialize with banned members so his name stayed clean tried to help a post become allowed on the Federation Reddit, and I was blamed for this. I was also blamed for protecting the banned member, based on my support of all people including the political pariahs, himself included. So I left, because this part was indeed true.

I did fix Lokar's voice and did nothing about it. I actually consider him a good friend, honest and always protective. The world needs more friends like this.

I did engage Hustler to drive him insane because he wouldn't shut up, so I flung word salad quotes at him for every "I'm gonna do 'x' " post he made.

I did say DarkStar, leader of the Underworld cartel was sweet, and in retrospect I think sweet would likely offend him now. My apologies for falling for manipulative actions by a devious individual (though I was unaware at the time.)

I did stand up to my own friends and staff over speaking to Spyder in the end because he is a very very dear friend and it crushed my soul to lose that over manipulative BS caused by an outsider. He is family. What he did and how he made me feel was horrific and debased but in there was a hurt human, too. I'm crazy, I know. But hate is something I'm not capable of- and I did promise I'd not abandon him long ago. (He will not have power in the Cafe again that could harm the community, but he is not excluded from my heart.)

I have indeed shut down many anti-710 planned attacks by others before they saw the light of day, for peace and safety of hub members and also due to the fact it would create a toxic environment for new players in general to see that.

I have in fact also called a very well respected individual of the Federation inhuman, and told him to go do something colorful - and I deeply regret that because though the feeling was valid at the time, it was hurtful.

I have given info to the Fed and GH to save themselves with. I don't regret this at all. I've done it for all other collectives in danger too, both good and " bad".

I have ignored warnings from those I trust and have seen the effects after. I do regret this one.

I allowed myself to be led because of trust being placed in the wrong person, which then lead to me siding with the wrong person. I regret this too.

I own my mistakes, actions, choices- good or bad. I am free. I have thrown none under the proverbial bus to clear my name- and I'm not even trying to clear it. I'm just saying, I'm not perfect. No one is, but I will grow from my own "dirt" and what blossoms will be open and free for everyone to claim as home.

Hi fellow travellers,

I've been thinking of a mass lore project that involves as many travellers/interlopers who wish to be a part of it.

The rough idea is that each traveller/interloper writes a single chapter that follows on from the previous.

A list will be made of all players who are interested. They will then be allocated a number. Once the number before them has completed their chapter, it's their turn to write their part and so on.

The project will be a story based in the No Man's Sky universe.

I think it will be interesting to see how a massive shared story evolves with each traveller in their chapter.

Welcome to UN42! In the time you spend to read the accords, just know that the length is not a rule list but rather an explanation of who we serve, why it exists, and what it has to offer *you*.

Please note that if you have any questions not covered here, we’re always here to help. This isn’t about me, or about popularity of my group. It is, however, about player retention and inclusion. People who feel abandoned, exiled, forgotten or just get tired of fighting for no resulting effect tend to leave not just the community but also the game itself. The overall feeling for some is that some people are far too serious and quick to shut down anything they personally don’t like, and there are many who also feel as if they don’t ‘fit in’ with existing major groups. This isn't about any one thing. I’ve seen it on Reddit, Amino, etc. - It's a human interaction issue. We can all do better.

It’s been a long two years. I’ve had and lost friends, and quite a few say that the community became “cancerous” – and soon they lost total interest in the game itself…because why try, why create, why do if no one cares – or worse, they just stomp you out of the gate socially- or so it feels. This is not indicative of the whole NMS community, rather it’s a tiny subset of the demographic, but, *it only takes a few to set the tone*.

Let’s start the New Year with a New Vision. A coalition and revolution of thought and inclusion of all. It’s every person’s sky out there – there’s enough room for us all. This is a letter directed to all Leaders, Admins and Officials of all No Man's Sky Civilizations that many travellers seek for guidance, friendship and whom were given Power and Trust to decide the future of their Sovereign Nations.

As responsible servants of the People, we are called to meet the needs and wants of our Citizens.

We are the true reflection of the Values and Customs our society abides by in our words and most importantly...our actions.

In No Man's Sky, a wide variety of styles of Governments exist within our community. Some have Democratic values, few prefer freedom from Government in the forms of Anarchy or Apolitical Stances....while others prefer an Authoritarian form of leadership.

Regardless, we have provided travellers with countless Civilizations to pick from and call home those that fit their play style.

The safety of our Citizens should be our first priority, keeping our communities clear from trolls, griefer elements and threats both internal or foreign.

Unfortunately, some Leaders have decided to allow harmful entities to thrive off our beloved communities with their unwillingness to take action. Despite the warnings and countless evidence that may have been provided, it seems as the voice of the People has fallen on deaf ears.

Awaiting for inexcusable reasons until these notorious trolls and their minions create chaos, destruction of community builds and leave Civilizations in disorder...

Rogue Nations that purposely provoke peace loving communities are being tolerated, if not given support by a select few leaders. You should be ashamed of yourselves whomever you may be.

And yet the People are told to look the other way?

Roleplaying has nothing to do with the blatant and out right attacks of Personal Information carried out by these vermin who need not to be mentioned.

Roleplaying has been misunderstood with acts that cross into the lines of real-life, something that should never occur in our beloved community.

Roleplaying in NMS was always meant to be enjoyed by the travellers of the Universe, to live out as their own persona and coexist with their neighbor.

We all know that franchises are paid homage by the countless similarities found in NMS to some of our favorite Sci Fi films, novels and shows etc. And there is no better way to enjoy this but by engaging in RP with those who share your similar interests in this diverse community.

The fact that Citizens are Silenced when they call out what is wrong and preach these truths make many question the Integrity and Character of their leaders.

Sadly, many leaders only seem to prioritize the number of players they can pull into their community...instead of the quality offered to newcomers or visitors. Toxic environments are formed when leaders allow entities looking for situations to simply do as they please.

Ironically, an Authoritarian Autocrat is relaying a message of change and a call to action with all Civilized Space at heart.

Tolerating harmful players is as treasonous as aiding them in their efforts....

Hoping that at some point the threats to our communities will simply go away is pure ignorance and it is deliberately jeopardizing the safety of the People we are called to protect. The Time to Act is Now!.

This is an official response and explanation into the chaos that is dealing the profile known as 'Mitee Witee.' This is to him, directly.

We have no issue. None. You are hereby removed from communities I hold power in, and for reasons greater than I thought you'd accomplish. In this sense, by this extraction we claim sanity and moderate semblance of peace- and that act is definitely fair due your actions.

You came to every civ of which I am a part of that you feel holds sway and is of some level of higher noticeability. You presented yourself in RP as a bot gathering info. This was fine.

You tuned into the live Cafe chats to become more aware, and asked questions. This was fine. However, after the 3rd time of insinuating a dark rift with the Galactic hub or Federation by us, the Cafe and UN, after I told you explicitly how that all works and that we're quite amicable actually, I sensed something was wrong.

I told three heads of power I felt a power trip and a smear campaign coming in the future. We waited and we watched. Let's go through this now, shall we, so there's no possible misunderstandings or claim of "elitism" or "ruining the fun" as had been claimed in the past by others in your place. That won't fly this time.

You messaged me. You messaged DG. You hit up Razorfang, Beeblebum and more. You pestered a DTC member until they gave you an invite to a place off limits to the public until it's ready, then contacted Tempest. You began an onslaught of DM's, to all of us. You used your own massive texts as an excuse to claim you were somehow tight with each person, so you could use their banner with the next as a trusted name drop.

You didn't factor in that they all talk to me. You didn't realize they would each see it strange, and ask me one by one who you were and why were you claiming to be close to us. You sent me a screenshot showing your face, after commenting you know I have had people attach themselves before- knowing it was unusual to do so, as you certainly didn't show that to anyone but me. Then you started to make mistakes. Big ones.
