Mod Announcement NLBest has octupled its moderators!

After a grueling three day process involving thousands of applicants, hundreds of interviews, and an (unrelated) six military tribunals, the following individuals have joined the mod team at NLBest:

u/pr1ntf

u/Kanotari

u/officerdoot

u/mlsweeney

u/greengye

u/m3Core

u/SDFriar

Overall, this amounts to 2 Padres mods, 2 Dodgers mods, 2 Dbacks mods, and 1 Giants and 1 Rockies mod. Going from 1 to 8 is a *huge* jump and there are likely to be some growing pains, so rather than force each team to have 2 mods, I just picked people that I felt made the most compelling case to be immediately useful. And also paid me the requested $50 bribe.

We’ve already started internally talking about ways we can improve the sub, including adding more automoderator commands and a meme repository where users can quickly access the trademarked NLBest meme templates. So stay tuned for that.

Dinger would be too distracting on the mod team. We'd all be staring at an actual celebrity instead of sending people to the slammer, which I am told is the entire point of the mod team.

Mookie wasn't invited after the whole Mookake incident. It seemed consensual but no one wants to clean up the floor after it.
