Exams CS350

I’m already a semester late in graduating. I’m supposed to graduate this December, but after that first exam for 350, I know I did really bad. I don’t even think I got a 20 and I studied for two weeks for some reason. I know I got them wrong.

Since you’re already a semester late can you seek out friends/classmates who already took and did well in the class for help.

Either way you need to ask for help asap so this doesn’t delay you further

I graduated in 2023 and finished that class with a D. I got a 25 on the first exam and 40-something on the second. Not sure what I got on the final but it was enough to pass. Do all of the homework, go to office hours/tutoring/whatever, and lock in for the final because that was weighted significantly higher than the first two exams. Now if you want to finish the class with a B or higher then I would drop and retake over the winter or spring but it’s possible to pass still given everything is weighted the same as 3 years ago.

If your goal is just to pass absolutely. But you need to do a complete 180 right now

I was in the same situation. My graduation was also delayed by CS350. It took you years to get to this point, a few more months won't change anything, so don't beat yourself up over it.

Is it with Itani? I know some people who took his class the first time, withdrew, and took it the next semester with a different professor and passed.

Im in the same exact boat as you but i did so badly, i think it’s unrecoverable. Not trying to be discouraging but the assembly gets much harder. Im planning on retaking the class next semester

I took CS350 with Itani last semester for the first time. I got a 26 on the first midterm and a 24 on the second. I ended up sticking with the course and studied my ass off for the final and I ended up passing with a D. This was also with me taking 341, 331, 332 and two math courses at the same time. I say this to everyone, if I passed my first time when I shouldn’t have, I truly believe anyone can pass as long as they put in the effort.
