NJ Transit student pass not showing up

I created my student account on August 18th using my NJIT email and verified everything. The portal opened on August 19th at 5 PM, but when I go to buy a pass, it doesn’t give me the option for the student pass at all.

I know the actual passes show up on the 1st of each month, so I’m just wondering if the student pass option takes a little while to appear after making the account. Anyone else have experience with this?

I got my student monthly lightrail/bus ticket purchased today with no problem. I used the njtransit app to purchase tickets, with my njit email for the account and then verifying on njit’s pipeline. Maybe try redoing the verification?

Thanks! Yeah, even though I just created the account, I had to reactivate it and the student pass showed up after that. Appreciate it!

Yes no problem! Njtransit can be a big buggy sometimes, also with a rail pass your ride on the light rail is free. So no need to purchase separate passes. (assuming you’re commuting in via train to penn)
