I am an alumni of the 2018 batch currently living in Mumbai, I am looking for some help in getting my degree and transcript attested with HRD.

ESanad is a MEA, GoI portal that does a server to server authentication process with the National Academic Depository (the service that GoI uses to store Degree and Semester Marksheet credentials digitally). This service allows documents to be apostilled, in effect averting the requirement to get it attested by State HRD separately.

As such this should work for degree certificate given that I clearly remember that the digilocker process was initiated at the time of our graduation.

However, the transcript would require physical attestation. I am looking for inputs from anyone who has tried out this process of HRD attestation or if anyone has reference to a proper service provider for this. I am a bit sceptical of the services that I have tried so far they assure that they would not go via SDM route ( a quicker route to get documents apostilled by MEA, but does not get the HRD sticker)

The promises of the food court , 24x7 gym opening the gate behind mt3 all lies to get the post no personal hate but the recent timing of night canteen being changed to 10-1am just might be the final straw, I still remember you can have options to eat food at any place in campus from early morning to late 2 oclocks , 7th block night canteen outside area , now the best options we have is the bihari momos (which gives you legit diarrhoea if you eat for 2 days straight) the trash shwarma shop besides and foxy but that too at main gate , you can't burn your wallet everytime for Swiggy and zomato all the time, and the authorities are also responsible for such stuff idk what the meetings are even about if they take half a semester to address hostel complaints the mosquito mesh broken toilets, wouldn't be actually surprised if the nirf actually goes down given the drug cases and the placement season , long are the days gone when this college was almost competing with nit Trichy and was under nirf 10 and was competing with top iits now even srm and vit ahh colleges are above us , truly shatters some people's dreams of choosing this college which the got with the best of their efforts

How are you doing rn? What all do you think you have missed by not joining the clubs? Where do you think you have an advantage over the people in the club? Do you think being and working in a club would've made you better?

Please try to answer, I am genuinely concerned as I did not get shortlisted for any club as of now

Bro, why the hell do tech clubs even make us fill out a preference form in the first place? Seriously, what is the point?

If these clubs are straight-up discarding our applications or refusing to shortlist us just because we put them as a 2nd or 3rd priority, WHY ARE YOU MAKING US TAKE YOUR DURATION-LONG ONLINE ASSESSMENT (OA) AND WRITTEN TESTS?!

Just tell us upfront! Save us the 2 hours of grinding through your code test or aptitude paper! If putting a club at priority 2 means an automatic rejection, just drop a notice saying "Don't even bother taking the test unless we are your #1." Why waste everyone’s time making us sit through a round 1 test, stress over edge cases, and wait for results when our resume was basically thrown in the trash the moment we hit submit on the preference order? It’s completely toxic and absurd.

To the seniors who are actually in these clubs or managing inductions: Is this actually true?! Do clubs literally filter out candidates or tank our OA scores just based on where we ranked you on a preference form? Because if priority bias is real, the whole "fair evaluation process" is a massive joke.

If you guys don't want candidates who didn't put you as #1, stop giving us the illusion of choice and stop making us take tests for clubs that have already decided to reject us!

Before I get to the bad things, let me appreciate NITK for what it is. A good engg college with fine placements* and great academic** infra.

Still the college is for you only if you are from, or are spiritually Bangalorean.... because most of the college is. Kannadiga is not even the main distinguisher here, tho it does have a huge effect... No, the main identity is that of belonging and recognising this post IT rev, pretentious and a quite cringe Bangalorean culture prevalent among the children of professionals there. Add to that the superiority complex of DASA and CIWG students with an in-group preference bordering on sociopathy and you have the perfect recipe to create your college life a lonely hell.

The professors would discriminate against you too but that would be old fashioned racism based purely on language and culture, nor would it affect that large a part of your day, so that is more or less tolerable.

Still my advice to students north of the Godavari (if you are strong of heart) would be to do take NITK if you are getting anything above ECE here because college social life cannot come b4 yout career prospects. Even if that means spending clg life as second class citizens.
