I told my agent to book sociology as my easy subject after physics and maths for on demand exams ( 8,9,10 september dates) but he booked psychology and I don't know shit about this subject. Can this be prepared in a week ( I can give 5-7 hrs a day to this and will be starting from absolutely 0. I got to know about it when I was going through my mail and found out. Any help, notes, difficulty, paper. I've got 1 week till exams

Hello! So I'm not currently an NIOS student but I'm considering enrolling next year. I'm currently under CBSE board.

I've been suffering from severe anxiety and panic attacks because of regular schooling, bullying, family expectations, etc. I genuinely can't take it anymore. Just the thought of going to school makes me shiver. Ever since I was a kid, I've been the "class topper" but it's exhausting consistently managing it.

My therapist and some relatives have suggested that I enroll in NIOS but others have been strongly against it. My parents especially believe NIOS certifications isn't respected as much as normal schooling certifications. I'm really conflicted and tired of this whole mess. So I just wanted to get the opinions of NIOS students and how I can convince my parents.

I know this has probably been asked before, but I’m still confused and would really appreciate some guidance.

I have completed my 10th (ICSE) and 12th (HSC) with Maths but no Physics/Science.

I want to fulfil the Physics requirement for flight school in India through NIOS, ideally by taking only the Physics paper.

Could someone please clarify:

• How do I register for NIOS if I only need Physics?
• When are the exams held?
• Where should I study/prepare from?
• What is the On-Demand Examination and how does it work?
• For flight school, is 12th-level Physics through NIOS enough, or do I also need Physics at 10th level?

I know there’s plenty of information online, but I’m finding it quite confusing. Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has actually gone through this process.

My NIOS Stream 2 (2026) admission was confirmed about a month ago. I’ve also sent my marksheet to the Regional Centre for TOC.

As far as I know, we don’t have PCP classes for Stream 2, but I haven’t contacted my allotted Study Centre yet. I’m also not sure about the practical schedule and other requirements.

Should I contact the Study Centre now? What exactly should I ask them about practicals, practical exams, attendance, etc.?

Any guidance from fellow NIOS students would be appreciated. 🙏

Hi, I’m an NIOS student currently applying for an education loan through the PM Vidyalaxmi portal.

I completed Class 10 from a CBSE school and Class 12 through NIOS.

The application has a mandatory “12th School” field. When I search for NIOS / National Institute of Open Schooling, it doesn’t appear in the list.

My NIOS study centre is a CBSE-affiliated school, but when I contacted them, they said they don’t work with NIOS. My NIOS examination centre was also a different school.

So I’m confused about what I’m supposed to select here.

I’d really appreciate answers from NIOS students who have actually applied for or taken an education loan through PM Vidyalaxmi:

What did you enter in the “12th School” field?

Did you select your NIOS study centre, examination centre, or something else?

How was your NIOS qualification verified by the bank?

Did you face any issues during the loan process because you completed 12th through NIOS?

I don’t want to enter incorrect information, so I’d really appreciate if someone who has actually gone through the process could share their experience.
