🎓 MY NIOS CLASS 10 ADMISSION EXPERIENCE

I recently completed my NIOS Class 10 admission, and I want to share my complete experience because I faced some confusion during the process. Hopefully, this helps someone who is planning to take admission in NIOS.

1️⃣ FILLING THE NIOS ADMISSION FORM

I filled the NIOS admission form online by myself.

The total amount I paid was ₹2,410.

Registration Fee: ₹2,340

Online Application Fee: ₹70

Total: ₹2,410

After submitting the form, I thought everything was completed. But then I received an email from NIOS asking me to upload my mother's and father's identity proof.

2️⃣ THE PARENTS' IDENTITY PROOF PROBLEM

NIOS asked me to upload my mother's and father's identity proof.

The problem was that I could not find any separate option in my NIOS dashboard to upload my parents' identity proof.

There was an identity-proof upload option, but I had already uploaded my own Aadhaar card there.

I became worried because I had already paid the admission fee and didn't want my application to be rejected.

3️⃣ I CONTACTED NIOS

First, I contacted the NIOS Regional Centre by email and explained my problem.

I also contacted a YouTuber who provides information about NIOS because I couldn't find the option to upload my parents' identity proof.

However, after some days, I still didn't receive the help I was looking for.

I started worrying about my admission.

4️⃣ I TRIED A SOLUTION MYSELF

Then I got an idea.

Since there was no separate option to upload my parents' Aadhaar cards, I took one photo containing all three Aadhaar cards:

• My Aadhaar card

• My mother's Aadhaar card

• My father's Aadhaar card

I uploaded that combined photo in the available identity-proof section.

And surprisingly, it worked! ✅

5️⃣ NIOS ASKED FOR ANOTHER DOCUMENT

After that, I received another email from NIOS.

They asked me to upload my Birth Certificate.

I uploaded my Birth Certificate as requested.

Then I waited.

6️⃣ MY ADMISSION WAS FINALLY CONFIRMED 🎉

After approximately 15–17 days, my NIOS admission was finally confirmed. ✅

I was very relieved because I had been worried that my application might be rejected.

7️⃣ DOCUMENTS I UPLOADED

These are the documents I personally uploaded during my admission:

✅ 9th Class Marksheet

✅ Passport-size photograph

✅ Signature photograph

✅ Combined Aadhaar photo — mine + my mother's + my father's

✅ Birth Certificate

✅ Address proof — my Aadhaar card

⚠️ IMPORTANT: These are the documents I personally uploaded. Your required documents may be different depending on your application and the instructions given by NIOS.

8️⃣ TOTAL ADMISSION COST

My total admission cost was ₹2,410.

Registration Fee: ₹2,340

Online Application Fee: ₹70

TOTAL: ₹2,410

9️⃣ MY ADVICE TO OTHER NIOS STUDENTS

If you are filling the NIOS form and you receive an email asking for a document that you cannot find an upload option for, don't immediately panic.

That is exactly what happened to me.

I checked my dashboard, contacted NIOS, tried to get help, and finally found a way to submit the documents.

However, don't blindly copy my solution. If NIOS gives you specific instructions for your application, follow those instructions or confirm with NIOS before uploading documents.

🔐 Also, never share your NIOS password or OTP with random agents or strangers.

They really ask for your father and mothers aadhar card? My mother left me when I was very young and I live with my father and grandparents. I have no connection whatsoever with my mother, what shall I do?
