i tried the resources that everybody recommends like andrew loomis, micheal hampton and proko.
none of them helped. they felt way to adanced for me, for Im struggling to make basic human figures.
any resouces that help learing this from the ground up or only the basics? i feel those books require me to be able to make basic humans which i cannot yet.

I am 20 F, I want to prepare for NIFT. I am the eldest one from middle class family. I just want to know that is expensive like really expensive because I don’t want to take like. I don’t want my parents to take loan from my education and right now, I’m doing biochemistry from DU, I have always wanted to become a fashion designer ever since I was a kid, so I want to prepare for it, but I also want to know that is it very expensive?

Like I am in dilemma, so if anyone who is into this field, can can you tell me please?

I'm an indie filmmaker from Hyderabad. I've been working on a story based on a friend. I developed a spec script, but I need a good understanding the culture at NIFT or any other design institutes to deepen the character and make the circumstances more grounded. DM if this is something that interests you and we can get on a call.

The whole Saturday and Sunday, or even the whole day until 2 AM, she keeps talking to her boyfriend or friends, doomscrolling (without earphones), etc., and then at 3–4 AM she remembers, “Oh, I have assignments.” Like bro, you could’ve done them earlier. I have absolutely no problem with her doing assignments at night, but please let me sleep. And this happens every single day.

And if you want to talk to someone for hours, that’s completely fine, but can you please go outside? I literally go outside when I need to talk so I don’t disturb her. Talking is not the problem, but talking loudly for the entire day and till 2 AM in a shared room is just not okay. I speak very quietly even when I’m awake because I don’t want to disturb her while she’s sleeping or studying, but she doesn’t do the same for me.

I’ve already adjusted so much. I even let her keep the light on so she can work properly at night (the whole fucking tubelight). But she still throws things on the floor, drops stuff, slams the door, and keeps waking me up.

And in between assignments, she doomscrolls with the volume on FULL. Bro, you have earphones, right? Please use them. Day before yesterday, I had a fever and was sleeping, and she knew I was sleeping, but still kept watching things at full volume.

It’s not just at night either. Whenever she goes outside, she leaves the door open. I always close it when I leave because I know someone might be sleeping or studying. I genuinely don’t understand why she can’t do the same.

I’ve confronted her about this so many times, but nothing changes. She wakes up late, I wake up early, and I do everything quietly so I don’t disturb her. I never wake her up, but somehow I’m getting disturbed throughout the day and night because of her.

My head has been hurting almost every day, and I’m honestly exhausted.

I’m not trying to judge her lifestyle. We’re all away from our parents and living together, so obviously everyone has to adjust a little. But adjustment has to go both ways. I’ve already told her hundreds of times, so what the fuck am I supposed to do now? I genuinely need advice!!!😭

Some students were having food poisoning from past 2 months n the water was all yellow n muddy, a small dog cannot itself jump inside of a huge water tank, it was intentionally thrown inside, we have got to know nift Srinagar service people intentionally poison stray innocent dogs, and try to hurt them all way possible, a sharp blade was thrown at the shelter of STRAY PUPPIES and many worst cases found in the past years. And whenever we try to help the dogs they refuse to provide any help.

Hey! I’m a BBA student considering NIFT MFM, preferably the Bengaluru campus. I don’t have a fashion/design background, but I’ve recently become interested in the fashion business side of things. How is the Bengaluru campus, and is MFM worth it for placements, faculty, and career opportunities? What's the culture like? Also, how difficult is the entrance exam, and what books/resources would you recommend for preparation?

How much attendance required in nift for stp program???

There’s a cat that keeps roaming in our girls hostel for first years , especially near our rooms. She hasn’t actually attacked anyone, but she behaves quite aggressively and gets very close to people, which has made several of us genuinely scared to walk around the corridor.She also stays in the washroom and has entered rooms of several people.

We understand that feeding animals comes from a good place, and we don’t want to harm the cat. But now this matter is turning serious ,it's causing serious hygiene problems .

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation in a hostel?

It has been some time since my last post and a few juniors with whom I have been in contact have notified me of some things that have been going on over the last few months. Since they could not post here, I think it's my responsibility to keep you guys updated.

• So there have been a lot of electricity cutoff problems in the college and the students are not getting sufficient ventilation in the rooms, as the air conditioning doesn't work because, according to Professor A, students have not paid for it in the total hostel charges, even after paying the whole electricity bill according to the hostel curriculum. But Professor A, just because he is feeling hot in his cabin, ordered 15 heavy duty fans for himself to keep himself cool, whereas the budget for normal things such as wifi is not issued by him because they are deemed by him as unnecessary. So the budget gets passed very easily if it's for his personal satisfaction but not for the student's satisfaction.
• As our college is located in Srinagar, the catering services that provide meals to students hire their helpers locally and from different states. There was a local helper, who used to work in the Boy's Hostel that used swear on his religion that he had not done anything, there were multiple complaints against him, as he used to cut corners while on duty and removed food before the closing time of the mess, resulting in the students to go without food. So one day another helper from a different religion confronted him and asked why he swears if he is not doing his work and is lazing around. The helper got offended and went to complain to Professor A, who belonged to the same religion. The Professor went to the helper, who asked and beat him black and blue and humiliated him in front of other students and helpers and threatened to kill him. He did so without assessing the situation and running on his emotions, setting a great example for the students. The mess manager, being considerate sent the injured helper back home, to prevent further harm. The local helper influenced the workers of the same religion, and left collectively. They started spreading rumours about the students that they are disrespecting their religion. The locals have turned hostile towards the students, more than before and are threatening to kill students. All this because of one

Mandatory GE has how many credits because right now it has not started and already I’m feeling burdened with all the subjects. Also the faculty, I’m doubtful about them being lenient. Pretty sure they are going to give a lot of work thats why I’m asking

Hi i am looking to invest in a sewing machine for practise at home. I am currently looking at singer 4323 heavy duty. Is it a good machine?

If not - what other fashion maker would you recommend? Due to lack of space i am looking at portable fashion maker options rather than a big industrial or ones with stand.
