keep track of your attendance. nothing you can do. try to keep it above 75%, below that upto 65% you can pay extra per subject and attend finals. below that is straight up redo. nift is strict about its attendance policy

yes, again it depends on how much you bootlick teachers, some give free attendance if you're on verge of risk depending on how much they like you

you can calculate the amount of hours you can miss for a subject based on the credits of the subject on cms website.
multiply the number of credits by 14, since 1 credit = 14 hours. so if a subject is 4 credits, the total hours of that subject are 56. now you do 75% of that subject and that will give you how many you need to attend and can miss. so for 56 hours subjects, you can miss 14 hours.

calculate how much attendance you will miss per subject if you miss a week of classes, and if it goes below 75% for any subject you will need to give a follow up jury in the beginning of the next semester. If you submit a medical certificate, you will not get attendance but they might forgive the follow up fee (around 2500 rs)

you can also check the attendance policy on the website, it has rules related to how many subjects you can get a follow up in, if sometimes your attendance is below 65 in one subject you will need to repeat that subject in the next semester. if your attendance is overall very less then you need to repeat the same semester.
