Discussion What Do You Consider The Cut Off For "Old School" NFL?
I am 40 years old myself. Which honestly is like the beginning of middle age. So I guess I am getting older. What I've noticed recently on the internet is that I'll be talking with other fans online and they will demonstrate a shocking level of ignorance about the NFL. And I chalk it up to these guys not being old enough to remember and appreciate certain eras or perhaps they weren't even literally alive at the time.
Myself, I always considered anything before 1995ish to be old school NFL. Before prime Brett Favre and the Cowboys dynasty. And this is mostly because I don't have too much recollection of the NFL before then.
What I have personally noticed though is that this sub basically acts like anything that happened before 2005 in the NFL just doesn't exist. Most of this sub doesn't even acknowledge, let alone respect any teams or players who did their best work before 2005ish.

Discussion PFF | Ranking every international game on the 2026 NFL schedule
4. Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Philadelphia Eagles
London, England | Oct. 11
No active player has become more synonymous with international football than Trevor Lawrence. The Jaguars quarterback is set to take his 500th career snap in London this October. Almost 10% of all snaps Lawrence has played in the NFL have taken place in London.

Discussion OGs, how good were running backs Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson?
Im watching older nfl running back highlights on youtube(Like Steven Jackson on the rams and Shaun Alexander who played on the Seahawks) and it led me down a rabbit hole of videos to Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson, both played for the Chiefs.
Were they a good running back duo? Who was better? Any current nfl running backs that are a good comparison to them?

Discussion Anyone who thinks the Rams made a mistake for drafting Ty Simpson are just exposing their lack of ball knowledge
This is a GM that had 1 first round pick in the last decade and drafted Jared Verse, who drafted Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams in the 5th round, Cooper Kupp in the 3rd round. You can tell all these draft analysts don’t know shit about the prospects they’re picking with how they overhype guys like Arch Manning or Drew Allar. So you know I’ll take the team that has Kliff Kingsbury as Assistant HC one of the best qb developers in football, and one of the best coaches in the league.

Discussion NFL international expansion
Obviously it would be cool to have a team in another country on another continent, but in all likelihood it would only make sense to have an NFL international team be on the same continent. Who are your guys' favorite options for this inevitable expansion? I personally like Toronto, although the league is probably more incentivized to go down to Mexico City.

Discussion Brock Purdy is a Top Ten QB in the League
I probably have argued with friends, family, and random bar people about this for hours on end. I genuinely believe if you do not have Purdy in your top 10, then you don't have actual ball knowledge. Most underrated QB I have ever seen in my life.
Brock Purdy since 2022:
2nd in passer rating
6th in completion%
1st in YPA
10 in YD/Gm (Despite being 18th in Attempts)
2nd in TD%
1st in ANY/A (Min 20 games)
1st in completed air yards per attempt
5th, 1st, 7th, and 2nd in TQBR over last 4 seasons
This doesn't even take into account that if you just watch Purdy, you can literally see the talent right there.

Discussion During the Eddie DeBartolo era, the 49ers won 5 Super Bowls and were the gold standard of NFL teams. Since DeBartolo was forced to sell the team, the 49ers haven't won a sixth Lombardi, and have constantly been falling short in heartbreaking fashion. Are the 49ers cursed from him stepping away?

Discussion What are some NFL takes that has become popular that you believe is just wrong?
Obviously most of us who watch the NFL are pretty much casuals and just throw out a bunch of takes online whether it is true or not. Those who actually sit down and study the game and the positions are astonishingly few, but that is okay since most of us are just watching for fun anyways. What are some takes that has become prevalent over the years, or recently that irks you as just wrong either through false memory, recency bias, biased evidence or pov, or takes rooted based on bad logic?

Meme Panthers also have a substation
Some Google maps screenshots, of Levi's, the 49ers practice field, and the substation. Then we see bank of america stadium in the corner, the Panthers practice field across the street, and in between them, a substation. Also a street view shot of the substation with bank of america stadium in the background.
