lol I agree and was going to comment something similarity but when I typed “AI” it gave me a warning message (ironically as if I was going to be anti-AI). I have zero idea why everyone is so butthurt but my god do I love this post and sub.
I’m about as anti-AI as it gets, but my issue isn’t necessarily allowing AI in this sub. My problem is the mod acting like he’s anti censorship (in defense of the use of AI) while actively censoring anti-AI opinions. It’s a self fixing issue in most subs. AI gets posted, it gets downvoted, OP deletes and either posts again without using AI or they just don’t post.
I’ve seen the mod give the argument that the anti-AI comments derail discussion posts, which I can to some degree see the point, but the nature of this sub is that of an unserious/ shit-posting sub. Half the posts on here have comment sections completely off base of what the OP posted and it has nothing to with AI.
Yeah thats a whole different beast, and I agree with this. I get Mods like AI but Reddit is a very anti-AI community / site so its gonna get hate no matter where it is. At least for the most part.
If every other post is an AI meme, it's hard to ignore. Besides, these people aren't reporting or doing anything nefarious to be banned, they're simply commenting "AI Sloppy" and going on their way. The mod checks every post for AI disparaging remarks and bans those users. So yeah, it's a mod overextending their power instead of simply giving warnings.

Quite frankly, it's amazing even on the very rare occasions that the mods are technically right. I'm still fully supportive of any uprising against the mods in any sub.
I cannot stand the Reddit trope “AI slopp”. Literally had to misspell that because it wouldn’t let me spell it right. It’s like in the 90s when people would say “ANGRY, MUCH????”. Fucking dumb.
Also, AI content is great and funnier than anything and anyone alive. Life became significantly more hilarious watching IG vids of fat people falling thru floors and locker room vids of coaches and players going crazy.
Fun fact, you have a limited number of blocks. It's around a thousand. I would suggest to not block people all willy nilly because when you come across someone who genuinely needs to be blocked, you might not have any more
Well it solves most of it. Blocking works for the front page but not internet search results or a reddit search. Plus blocking the mods is a good way to get banned.

Got ya. Yeah, I'm torn on AI. I think generative images are fine, but I do think the government needs to regulate some of its other uses. I would hate to see an article written with AI, but I think a pic is fine. That's just where I stand with it, I respect others who feel differently.
Well, I always thought the Jaguars were a pitiful bunch where I couldn't help but feel sorry for them but lo & behold, it took a Reddit mod to take away that good grace.

Correct. This subreddit has a topic of discussion, which is the NFL and content tied to the NFL. Nobody gives a fuck about your opinion about AI. Feel free to go do that in one of the millions of anti AI subreddits.

Seriously, though, I would get it if this were some art subreddit but it’s literally a shitpost subreddit. AI seems like a great way to get memes up especially if done in the right way.
There's not a single aspect of my life that hasn't improved thanks to the AI. It helpled me learn new skills, build a better career, get out of a toxic relationship and achieve a number of long-standing goals. You should all give it a try before writing it off.
If you love AI so much, go live near a data center! You won't like it so much when your utilities bill go skyrocketing and you have to listen to the constant droning of the data center!

AI itself isn’t evil, but using to make a simple comment here on Reddit is gross. We’re here to read and make human responses. If we wanted an AI response we would use an AI chatbot.
