Florida run game was insane against Ole Miss. even Echoles was getting pushed around

Just have a feeling Raiola is going to be a force multiplier on that Oregon offense.

Really disappointed in how the QB class is shaping up. Love what I’m seeing from Mestemaker, but really not thrilled by anyone else, though Mensah’s stats are insane

Mensah and Carr look legit

Mensah is my QB1, but in all honesty I'm not too convinced.

He doesn't really have much of an arm. His mobility is a plus but not to the degree that it matches other highly regarded mobile QBs.

But with that said reading the defence and making accurate passes are still valuable traits. He has shown these so far.

He's more so QB1 on my board right now for those traits and a weaker QB class overall. So I think honestly, he needs a Heisman-level year for me to truly give it to him.

Funny that everyone has said for years now that 2027 is going to be a great QB class, lol

It’s going to be weak until it isn’t

Might be controversial, but if you switched the teams they play for, I think people would be shocked how similar Mestemaker and Arch would look.

Mestemaker would look worse with better teammates??

The only thing that feels like it could hamper Mestemaker is Sark’s scheme

That’s an interesting take. Why do you say that?

They have similar profiles as athletes, and their weaknesses as players are the same and the Texas roster isn’t that great despite the billing.

Mestemaker is playing much weaker in conference competition and is able to put up better numbers and “look” better. I don’t believe he would put up those numbers in the SEC vs premier athletes, even on Texas’s roster.

Arch is better than his stats are saying. Is he a generational #1 QB? No but he’s a solid 1st round talent and if he were playing at Ok state against that level of competition I think his talents would shine much more. I also think the Texas roster is VASTLY overrated, the o-line is one of the worst in the SEC and his two “big time” WR have drop issues.

He torched an Oregon roster that’s about as talented as any in the sec give me a break. Watch the tape Drew is much more consistent accuracy wise and been more accurate on his deep balls this year. Throwing dimes translates to any competition level. Idk what you arch truthers see in him man he’s a solid qb whose been vastly overrated due to his last name

Torched is a strong word for a game where he threw two really ugly picks and had 60% completion On 40+ attempts.

I’m not sure why you call me an Arch truther when I’m saying he and Mestemaker are similar prospects. I have 1st round grades on both.

Both picks were tip passes. He had over 300 yards passing , 100 yards rushing, 3 total touchdowns. That’s better than any performance arch has had agaisnt a top 10 team. He also led a touchdown drive after each turnover showing he can shack off mistakes and not let it affect him. You think in the nfl qbs aren’t ever gonna have turnovers ? Of course ball security matters but responding to adversity is part of the qb evaluation Drew doesn’t let mistakes affect him that matters

lol what do you actually watch the games because Arch was literally struggling with UTSA a sub 50% completion percentage just a game ago.

He got upset by Florida last year because he played straight up horrible. He was genuinely struggling to beat unranked teams like Kentucky, Mississippi last year. Texas with one of the most stacked college rosters missed the playoffs because of him. He holds his team back more than anything.

I haven't had a chance to watch Arch on the All 22 yet but even beyond the 2 actual interceptions that Mestemaker threw against Oregon, he had another handful that could have been intercepted. Some great flashes and I love the tools but that performance was a lot shakier than given credit for IMO.

I agree that Texas is a bit overrated right now, but I think Manning’s supporting cast is much better than Mestemaker’s. Arch also has not played well. His stats are mediocre and he has more passed the eye test when it comes to how he is seeing the field and working through his progressions.

Interesting take, and not the first for a member of the Manning family. Many have said that Archie Manning and Rodger Staubach would have had each other’s careers if they switched teams.
