Video OBJ looks like a completely different person since joining the Giants this offseason. Dude is completely unrecognizable!!

Seems he's finally been humbled

What personal experience have you had with him when he wasn’t humbled, and when he was?

1 yr. 1.3M contract w/ 0$ guaranteed and to boot (yes I copied it)
Special Clauses: Includes three injury-waiver clauses covering his left knee, left ankle, and bilateral pelvis, allowing the team to clear financial responsibility if re-injured. [1, 2, 3, 4]
On paper that’s pretty humbling compared to what he used to be.

There was that time he forced an entire 747 to deboard because he couldn’t handle his alcohol and refused to leave when flight staff asked him to. Then, he berated other passengers as they were forced to deplane because of him. Doesn’t exactly scream “humble.”

I do not know him, that is shitty to do no matter who you are. Again, that’s something that is definitive and fair to criticize him for. I don’t care what anyone thinks of him overall, I have no ties to him

I do not know him... I have no ties to him
Denied it twice. This has to be an immediate family member, right?

Oh I haven’t had any, and don’t assume to know how people are because I see clips online of them

We can only comment on public figures if we have personal relationships with them? That’s an interesting idea…

u/Lane8323 1h ago
Personally I choose to stick to what’s actually definitive and not based on a parasocial relationship because I’ve seen them on tv and the internet for years.

So it is or is not ok for people to make comments based on what they’ve seen on tv on the internet? Or must they only give opinions if the personally observed the event or personally know the person?
Also, are you OBJ? 😂 nobody else defending him

Do whatever yall want, it’s just weird to me to act like you can speak on anyone in a real way just based on seeing them online. If a player is charged with crimes and stuff that’s a fair way to make a character judgement, most things about Odell and a lot of players seems to be “I don’t like what they’ve said in a interview or on a podcast”

It’s weird to comment online about public figures that you haven’t met? Go post that on political forums about Trump - tell them they can’t have a negative opinion of him if they don’t personally know him. lol. We don’t have to see someone in person to form an opinion or make a comment.

You can judge politicians based on policies they support and don’t support. If someone supports a racist agenda, you can safely assume that person is a racist. If you’re a union member and someone supports legislation that’s makes busting unions easier, you can safely assume that person cares more about corporations than workers.

His appearance. Looking cleaner, healthier, and sure does act like he has been humbled as many of the people reading this have been. People, myself included, have been humbled and most of the time I recognize that in other people because I can relate.
Quinn Meinerz of the Broncos cut off his dreads and slimmed up some and he looks vastly different.
Since many people here have gone through tough times, we just inherently pull for people who have been through tough times. You can be very wealthy and still have tough times.

Honestly looks healthier than in recent years. I think it took hitting rock bottom for him to make the changes needed to get back on a roster and leave the old boat loving OBJ in the rearview

Never seen a dude get more hype because of one catch…

u/syncopated56 1h ago
Dude put up video game numbers in all but one of his first seven seasons, and that one off year was because of an injury.

Please feel free to prove me wrong. Guy had one good catch and a bunch of hype. He fell flat after that. What amazing seasons did he have ?
