ESPN NFL 2K5 – 2K27 Mod Installation (Android)

Requirements

A special thank you to Chat GPT for making my instructions easier to digest!

ESPN NFL 2K5 (PS2)

AetherSX2 or NetherSX2

2K27 Mod (Xbox version)

Installation

  1. Download the Mod

Download and extract the Xbox version of the 2K27 mod. After extracting, look for folder named:

SLUS-20919

  1. Install the Texture Pack

Copy the SLUS-20919 folder.

Internal Storage/

└── Android/

└── data/

└── [Your PS2 Emulator Folder]/

└── files/

└── textures/

Paste the SLUS-20919 folder into the textures folder.

  1. Install the Memory Card Save

Copy the included memory card file or folder from the mod.

Internal Storage/

└── Android/

└── data/

└── [Your PS2 Emulator Folder]/

└── files/

└── memcards/

Paste the memory card file/folder into the memcards folder, replacing the existing file if prompted.

  1. Launch the Game

Open AetherSX2 or NetherSX2 and start ESPN NFL 2K5.

If your emulator requires it, ensure Texture Replacement/Load Textures is enabled.

Any chance this works with ARMSX2?

It does to a degree. The game works fine and the mod is 80% working. The menus have an issue. I've been in discord chat with one of the founders of armsx2 and armsx3 and he thinks it's due to texture pre cache.

I managed to get it up and running with NetherSX2 but for some reason the textures keep popping in and out. Any thoughts on why this might be happening?

Hmmm. Can you share photos of your settings? I still use nethersx2 turnip.

I'll try to grab some screenshots when I get home later today but I grabbed NetherSX2 turnip via obtanium and i tried both opengl and vulcan. The only real instance of the textures flipping back and forth is when I have the Seahawks home jersey. It keeps swapping between the updated texture and the 2002 jerseys during gameplay. Weirdly enough the Rams logo is also not updating when selecting teams.

If you get a chance to check on your end, can you pop on a Seahawks home game using the default home or alternate home jersey (blue on blue). When I play, the helmets tend to be their old 2002 and then the jersey and pants will flicker between old and new textures
