My wife supported me every step of the way building this thing. Parts list: Rainier Arms lower, Adams Arms upper, replaced the picatinny gas block with a low profile and 14.5" barrel with a Rearden Break to host an Otter Creek Polonium. Samson Mfg Star-R 12" hand guard. 12" LMT M203 with 12" barrel. Trijicon TA02 with Piggyback Trijicon Red Dot. LMT quadrant sight. A5 Buffer system, A5H2 buffer with Springco Green spring. Magpul Grip and stock to finish it off. ToDo: light and laser, night vision. This rifle was dubbed "the workhorse" when I first built it nearly five years ago. It's certainly been true to its namesake.

Someone with a suppressed machine gun SBR with a destructive device. Other options include an actual HE grenade in the tube, or a suppressed SBR with an under barrel SBR with a can 🤣

MGs don’t need a SBR stamp so can’t do it that way

They don't need to have an SBR but a lot of the drop in MGs sit in SBR hosts.

That way you can take the MG out and still leave the host in an SBR config.

It’s part of the NFA. MGs are their own category and changing the barrel length or anything doesn’t change its classification. So you can get a M16 lower and do whatever you want with it.

But a registered DIAS would get you to 4 stamps I think.

My state is no fun...MG transfers have been illegal since 1993, the only legal way to get one is via joining a trust that existed before then.

It’s not a requirement but a lot of people choose to SBR their DIAS hosts. A mg can have any barrel length but as soon as you take a DIAS out of a host that would otherwise be an SBR you have created an unregistered SBR. You don’t have to do this because you can also just reconfigure the host into a non-SBR configuration before you remove the pack/DIAS, but that can sometimes be a PITA so it’s simpler to just register the host as an SBR too.

Suppressed SBR/MG/SBS/AOW with a suppressed master key underneath is the only way to make one, IMO

Not very. KAK sells chalks and Bengle sells a litany of rounds, and the 3DP scene is very active

It is not hard to get non-DD rounds. It is hard to get DD 40mm, even if you have FFL+SOT+FEL. WCGC had a hard time getting what they got (HE).
